- Bad points:
- Sound is very tinny. Expect to buy an active subwoofer or surround sound package to get any decent sound quality from this product. If you are wanting to wall mount this tv, you will need to connect up everything prior to hanging, as cable ports are difficult to access (rear facing rather than down or side facing).

- The picture quality is great and very easy to set up.
- Bad points:
- The only down side to this TV is the sound isn't as great as you would imagine. This is the only reason I marked it 8/10 overall.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Toshiba 40LV713B

Concerned about sound quality reading reviews. We have a surround sound cinema system would this work with this product?
-
Hello Jackie,
To test this possible way forward we treated ourselves to a surround cinema system at Christmas.
It has been partly successful. With DVD`s it is fine and with TV the central forward loud-speakers improve matters a little . However the fundamental problem with this Toshiba and other downward speaker facing sets is that they do not project their sound towards their audience (unless you like sitting below your TV) . Scientific design unfortunately sometimes fails to see the obvious as it "progresses". -
I do not have the system you refer to, but the television works very well indeed, and meets all my requirements.

-
Don't know but if you find out I'd like one too. The sound is the only complaint I have from this unit. K

I also have a toshiba 40lv713b and have just bought a wall mount for it. Problem - the bolts provided that attach the tv to the bracket arms are too long. Has anyone wall mounted this tv and if so would it be possible to know the correct length bolts for this. As I said, it's not the frame on the wall that is the problem, it is the length of bolts for the bracket arms. Thanks for any help.
-
sorry my tv sits on the stand - cant help

-
The TV I want has to fit into a recess, the width of the Tv can be no bigger than 50 inches or 1270. Would this TV fit. Thanks for your help. Alan.

Hope that answers your question
