The Toshiba 32DV713 which I bought for my sister has no problems like the one you describe.
I would be inclined to return to the retailer and show them the problem.

we paid £370 for our tv but over the time we have had it it has performed better than i could have expected.(picture clarity, sound ease of use) if i was to have to buy another having used this set for some time i would have no hesitation to buy again and would even consider paying slightly more for it.excellent set in all ways

Although cancelling sleep timer the set still turns itself off , why?

What are the dimensions of the stand please. Expect to put it on a shelf if possible. Thanks

Hi Hazel
As I bought this excellent TV for my sister, I don't have access to it at the moment. I can tell you that the pedestal base is 255mm deep (front to back) so your shelf would need to be at least that. As for the width, it is obviously less than half the width of the TV, so I would guess at something like 330mm wide.
Hope that is of help to you.
