I have looked on all websites and connot find out if it does or n0t. All i need to know is confirmation that you can indeed use headphones and if so do they plug straight into the tomtom? or do I need to buy an adaptor to use headphones?

      Natasha replied on

  16. Apart from adhering to the windscreen can you use an attachment to stick the TomTom to the dashboard or can you place inside the beanbag type holder?
    Alex asked on
    1. not sure but have a go i dont drive bought this for my partner i will find out for you and get back to you if you want
      monique replied on

    2. Sorry but can't help with this one. Have only used the supplied windscreen sticker type mount. I would think though that there is possibly a way of attaching it to your dash. Try going on the tomtom website to see what's available, as you only get the windscreen mount with the sat nav when you buy it. Sorry can't help any more. Good Luck!!
      Ken replied on

  17. I wondered if you can get an update for NSW, Australia so I could take it on holiday with me?
    Sue asked on

Also does it have an option to navigate to recent destinations?

    chris asked on
    1. Hello , it does do both options I am well pleased with the tom tom
      mark replied on

    2. Yes you can navigate to sreet name as well as postcode providing obviously you put the town/city you want too, and you can navigate to recent destinations too.
      Ken replied on

    3. Hello , it does do both options I am well pleased with the tom tom
      mark replied on

  19. If I put the house number will it take me to the house frontage? And does it tell you which side of road it ios on?
    Sally asked on
    1. Pretty much depending on how big the area covered by the post code is. I dont think the map is detailed enough to show the side of the road but if the post code is different then it will.

      Steven replied on

    2. I doubt it will show you which side of the road the house you are looking for is on, and it depends how big an area the postcode covers as to whether it will take you to the actual house frontage
      Ken replied on

    3. i live in newcastle i was visiting my son who lives in choppington. i put his door number in post code ect it did take me to his house but dont think it can tell you what side of the road the house is on. when you get to the road or street your looking for it tells you that you have reached your destination
      monique replied on

  20. Does it have a Yoda voice already installed?
    Ellie asked on
    1. Not that I am aware of but pc you can download from
      mark replied on

    2. you can download free tomtom voices from the internet. just type in download free tomtom voices. should come up with yoda yoda just follow instructions. hope this helps
      monique replied on

  21. Can you input complete postcodes? The original Tom Tom Go would only take the first part of the postcode, which is virtually useless.
    Peter asked on
    1. Yes.
Iit obviously gets you straight to the location with the full postcode.
You can put less in and it will get you as far as it can.
There are other options on finding key locations and landmarks etc. So several ways of getting to a place if you dont have full postcode and straight to it if you dont.

  22. Does it warn you if you exceed the speed limit for its current position
    RIB asked on
    1. not sure about that. it tells you if you are getting near to speed cameras. also when you are approaching a bridge ect. so it should be able to tell you that i will ask my partner as i bought the tomtom for him he is a very good driver when i'm in the car.
      monique replied on

    2. It constantly shows the speed you should be doing and the speed you are doing. It also makes a litle warning noise. it also warns you about speed cameras.
      Natasha replied on

  23. can i add aditinal maps to this tom tom start and if yes can you tell me where can i download aditinal maps thanks
    Dushan asked on
    1. Hi,
you need to download Tom Tome Home onto your PC. You can then arrange to purchase different maps through this with your sat-nav linked to your PC . Similarly you will receive free up-grades to your exsisting map within the warranty period. Looked quite straight forward.
      Robert replied on

  24. Need it for traveling round Spain can you download maps from your PC?
    Rob asked on
    1. sorry but I have not tried to download any maps,
but the sat nav is great.
      Diane replied on

    2. yes sat nav is good for its value. I think you have to purchase map.
      pragnesh replied on

  25. Is a case a desirable accessory. If so I found difficulty in finding the appropriate one on Tesco Direct
    Michael asked on
    1. I don't have a case for my TomTom. I keep it in a bubble wrap bag when not in use.
      David replied on

    2. No - I keep mine, along with the mount & the charger etc in a small coolbag !
