Good points:: Very powerful and reasonably good connectivity. The 'ear' that sets the speaker levels is a godsend
Bad points:: The HDMI connection in does not support audio??? it states this in the manual. This makes it a redundant feature unless you want to use your receiver as a convoluted way of pushing visuals to your televison.

Good points:: so far , this seems a very adaptable piece of eqpt. i now need to look at my speakers to achieve full performance

Good points:: Stunning sound when matched with KEF 2005.2 speakers
Bad points:: Many of the options I don't really understand and would need a free weekend to play around with. I have been unable to programme the remote to work the Sony hard disk recorder. Phoned Sony, they weren't much help.

Good points:: I found the sony s trada 1200es very stylish and with the auto calibration via the supplied microphone it was a breeze to setup,The selection of inputs are easy to understand and the hdmi in and out connectors became very usefull in minimalising my cables.I love the way the unit automatically selects the best audio selection vie information on the dvd disk played and the sound for a buget box like this is fantastic and well worth the money
Bad points:: There are none at all for the unit itself however i would have liked a more stylish remote control , Maybe a sleek silver one with an ergonomic shape?
