- Only one, "battery" icon is very small on the screen which makes is difficult to estimate how much life is left. perhaps "status" could be shown in "settings"

- Bad points:
- interface with software is not so good. There are almost no docking stations available from the manufacturer. they appear to make them for ipods only! stupid!

- Excellent sound quality, feels well made and is always reliable. Quick and easy to use
- Bad points:
- Software that comes with it (MediaGo) does a poor job of automatically transferring podcasts and other media; it seems to refresh all other items first, even though they don't need refreshing, meaning a 30+minute wait before podcasts are transferred. There is no function to edit playlists from the device itself.

This is the third one of this series that I have bought. The first one was for me and I was so impressed I bought another for my son and then, more recently, one for my partner (finding the third one took some effort as it is now discontinued!)

- really good size and weight. headphones provided are nicely fitting and comfortable.

- at full volume it is a lot quieter than my old ipod. no way of putting the songs into playlists without downloading a dodgy programme from online.

my preset radio channels cannot to seem to pick up any fm stations. Does anyone know why?

I don't have any issues with this feature, although reception is a bit intermittent. I think that you must have the earphones installed as it provides the antenna.

Score 5.0/10I use pod casts more than music and the Sony provided software leaves a lot to be desired. This software does not provide enough information as to what is going on during downloads, sometimes loads podcast dates I did not request, occasionally hangs, and manages to interfere with other programs. It is not as bad with Windows 7 as it was with XP.
