Score 4.0/10
Good points:
Look good and is compact,a nice sleak design, and has potential to hold a lot of tracks. The mp3 player is usualy quite versitile.
Bad points:
Had problems in navagating folders, not straight forward. Had a two month period where it would not install Albums properly. Unfortunately it had periods where it would not reoprt storage capacity properly. I could not find any helpfull information on the Internet to help, I did try the reset button but with no avail. Remedy to some of the problems were that another simalar device was placed in my computer and thereafter my mp3 play was again recognised.

Confirmed purchaser 24female average music listener

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
Quick & easy to upload music, great size for use while travelling.
Bad points:
Broke down within 6months of use (One day it worked fine, the next it wouldnt do anything - won't turn on, and won't even connect to a PC so I can transfer the music to another device). Reset button also broke. I received the product as a gift and was advised by the product helpline that since I had no receipt they would not do anything, regardless of the fact that the "failsafe" reset button had broken as well. I was advised that the product is apparently an "exchange only" item - i.e. they will not attempt to repair it (probably since these tend to break quite easily as I have gathered from experience and reading other reviews). Although a great product initially, I'd strongly advise others to purchase an alternative from another supplier.

Confirmed purchaser music work student

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
It can store my music (mostly wma) as well as important work documents (such as pdf, doc, ppt), battery can be charged via usb connection to computer - very useful. Has a shuffle function. Still, a very good and reliable walkman device.
Bad points:
Volume can be very low, even on max volume. When outdoors or on the bus with people talking it can be very difficult to hear the music. Storage also could be larger. Also the zap function is very limited (only plays a mamixum of 30 secs of a song) and the 'zap' sound can be very loud and annoying in comparison to the music being listened to. It doesnt have a 'sort' function so in the folders the music is arranged in some unknown order.

  2. My Sony NWZ-B143F 4GB often runs out of charge and takes a very long time to recharge. The PC fails to identify what the USB port item is. Do others have this problem?
    Thanks,
    David
    David asked on
    1. I do not have this problem, perhaps yours is faulty and shall send for RMA. As long as mine plug in, my WMP will automatically identify the player for me and make synchronization simple.
