- Good points:
- Fairly good sound, reasonable storage capacity.
- Bad points:
- It was nearly impossible to load the programme that enabled transfer of music. This is a drawback. Why on earth do you insist on having this unecessary programme which refused to load onto two different machines. This is such a drawback that I have advised other people not to buy your product.

- Good points:
- Once charged it lasts a long time, plus it is very quick to charge.
- Bad points:
- The songs are arranged by album unless you manually change it to arrange them by Artist and this defaults after you charge it which is annoying. Also after you charge it the player is set back to the first thing on it, it doesn't keep it's place. It's a bit annoying having to work with Sonic Stage software instead of just copying songs across to the player. If the title and artist name are long the player stops displaying before you have read the whole thing.

- Good points:
- Great portability, nice looks, good sound quality.
- Bad points:
- Awful software, I stopped using the device because of that. It never was fast or user-friendly. You can't just drop music files onto the device, you must use the supplied software to convert music and put it on the device. Some files couldn't be converted! And one day software just stopped working and I couldn't use the device.

- Good points:
- The sound is good and easy to use.
- Bad points:
- Putting music onto it is difficult. It doesn't allow me to put music on it and when it does, it's not actually on there, it's just in a file hidden in it. I don't understand how you put music on it properly.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony NW-E005 2GB

how do you turn the blimming thing on?
-
You make it play by pressing the little round button. You can select the choice of album or track by using the little two-pronged switch on the side (the little button by the side of it allows you to choose between album or track).
The difficult bit is in loading the music. You have to first load the programme from the disc onto the computer and I had to ask a computer-literate friend to do that for me as it refused to load when I tried. There is no real need for this programme but I'm assuming Sony are just trying to make life more difficult for their customers. Well I won't have that problem again as I'll buy my next gadget from a different manufacturer. Good luck!

I'm having that trouble with mine too, I don't know why I'm sorry I can't be more help ...I did wonder if it's because I'm running on vista and I think my sonic stage download system needs yo be updated online somehow but not entirely sure soz.

Hi
How do you turn the thing off
-
Press stop (the bottom half of the round button) and then move the slide at the back to "hold" so the machine is locked on standby.
