- Good points:
- Its a nice good looking unit can be put on a shelf etc, good size hard drive and good sound.
- Bad points:
- Setting up the seperate unit was a nightmare had to get somone in to set it up,? it would not go wireless through three rooms in my bungolow it said on the box you can do five units yes in a open field. Setting up the internet conection is by no means esay, but when all is working its fine the only other thing would be nice if they had a screen on the remote as if you are away from the unit and try to type in a artist that you want it may be pot luck.

Hi
Although I have had my system working in the past, right now I cannot get thru it to even start. The power button has a small flashing amber light that has now been flashing for about five days and no amount of button pressing, head shaking or fist wagging seems to help. I have stumped up to have Sony come out but I won't arrange that until the unit actually comes on as it would seem a waste of time. So all you owners out there.....any clues for me?
Thanks
Kevin-
Hi yes the amber light should be steady on and in ready mode,if flashing it must be stuck in this so when you push the button no greenfor go?. I suppose you have tried the turn power off for a while to hope this will reset, the only other thing is the switch is faulty may be a connection has come loose, out of warranty you could look inside and even put a new switch in, sorry cant be more helpful rob.

Hi, I too have got this problem, started about a week ago, only way to opperate is to turn off/on at the mains. Will partially shut down when off button pressed but will not turn back on. (The screen stays on but blank and the blue lite on the front pulses slowly, fan is on). Any other suggestions would be usefull.

how do i connect my giga juke to digital radio, tried everything maybe im doing it wrong, or im just a bit thick , but if someone could explain it to me in easy terms please.
-
I'll backtrack-it's been three years and to be honest, it only lets you connect to generic pre-recorded tacky radio stations so I never used the function. Disappointing as I thought you would be able to select a radio station fom any radio station that is available on the internet. This is not the case, and therefore was useless to me. I'll go through steps in new Year as my console is currently broken.!

what makes this the multi room
-
The NAS-C5E. Up to 4 of them can be added in different rooms dotted round the house, linked wirelessly.
-
Hi i only have one extra unit in the bedroom which works well, they say you can add more? the only problem you may have is that the wireless does not go that far. the wireless unit i have had to put in the midle so as to exstend the range? and i live in a bunglow.
-
Its the position of your wireless router (supplied by your ISP) that governs where the signal reaches - not the Sony Gigajuke base unit itself.
Having the router positioned roughly central to the base unit and the NAS-c5E(s) will help. But you may need to purchase a wireless extender to boost your wireless signal range. These are about £40 and are reasonably easy to set up. Plenty of info on the internet as to how to do this.
