- Good points:
- Easy to set up the tuner. The included ipod dock is fab and you can control the basic functions of your ipod through the system remote. The ability to record off the radio is great! The sound is superb for the size of the speaker. Overall I am happy with the unit.
- Bad points:
- The real spoiler for me, which is why I gave it 5/10 for design (i count the way it interacts with the user as much as aesthetics here) is the slow transfer of music to the hard drive, it takes forever! It took about 15 hours to transfer 2800 mp3's via USB also the menu system is insane. It is unusable. Each transfer from my memory stick is stored under a heading that has no relation to the music(USB1....USB2......USB3 etc etc). This means albums are split and you cant search the whole of the hard drive, only each heading. Sony really need to sort the filing system out.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony NAS-E300HD
-
Can you plug standard stereo equipment into this device? For example a record player / CD player / cassette deck? In other words, does it have the standard AV red & white jacks?
-
Nope, it has a port for Sony Walkmans, a bundled iDock that plugs into the Dmport, a USB port and an AUX input by way of a 3.5mm jack socket.
-
-
How is the sound output in a room with approximate size of 7M*6M please?
-
Probably good but we only have a smaller room than that so cant be sure,
-
-
i want to play about 2000 single tracks at random. is this possible cos i have one of these the instructions are pretty hard to follow
-
Sorry ive never tried that.

-
I know that you can copy music from an iPod, however cna you copy the music INTO the iPod?
-
?????-Sorry cant say for certain but as a general rule of thumb as i dont use an iPod what you can do one way that is copy from an i Pod you should be able to load your i Pod but dare i suggest the quickest way to copy music is using a computer.Sorry cant be more HELPFUL
-
Further to my reply on can you copy music into an i Pod.On reflection the answer has to be NO otherwise there would be a section in your manual onhow to copy music to your i Pod
-
-
Thanks for the answer. What I meant is I am able to copy music from my iPod into the NAS, however I cannot pass the music from the NAS into the iPod!
Thanks again!-
Nope...you cant go the other way NAS to ipod. You can only copy from the ipod by playing the track you want to copy from the ipod and recording it to the NAS. That takes up more space than an MP3 I think. I copied my itunes music library to a memory stick and then to the NAS. It was a real ball ache but at least everything was in searchable folders and it takes up less space than recording from the ipod.

Hi could i connect a Ion quick play USB vinyl turntable to this unit?
-
honestly im not sure but it does have a USB port at a guess im sorry to say i would think not however simply try it it cant do any harm if you have the connections

I bought my Giga Juke about 3 years ago and the manual lists which Walkmans can be used with the Giga Juke at that time. I need to replace my walkman and wanted to buy one that can be plugged in [using the docking point on top]. Does anybody know which later walkmans can be used? I can not access the online manuals on the sony site, as they appear to be unavialable. Thanks
-
this depends on the date of your manual on page 78 my booklet lists models from march 2009 may i suggest phoning your nearest Sony shop as there are so many also you dont state whether you want a Type Aor B attachment or no attachment at all.Asthere are 36 Walkmens from what i can see this would be your best option sorry i cant be more helpfull
-
-
Can I connect it vira hdmi lead to my surround it tv
-
Nope
