Bad points:
cd player is on the top and is press to open a bit outdated i would say.A press button to open would be more appealing and up to date feature.

EVE, NORTHOLT Classical music lover

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
For it's size it really packs a punch. There is no distortion with the bass when loud. I'm really happy with the quality of the sound when cd's are played! Pleased with its size - it does not take up alot of space.
Bad points:
I've observed a difference in the quality of the sound when my son puts his iphone on. It's not as crisp in comparison to when cd's are played. I would have liked to be able to connect my computer to it, as I download music to my computer. There are no connectivity options apart from the basics, ie ariel and speakers.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Excellent purchase - sound is superb and a real bargain. Brought it to go in my kitchen and it's doing a great job. Very pleased and would definitely recommend. Unfortunately it doesn't have an Aux point which would have made it easier to connect to my laptop, however I have got round this problem by purchasing a female ipod connector to 3.5mm jack which attaches to the dock point on the hifi and also plugs into my laptop - works brilliantly and only cost me an extra 6.99 off a well known auction site.
Bad points:
I agree with most of the other reviews in that the power cable is a little too short but a small price to pay for the value for money when buying at such a reduced rate.

  10. Can the sound be loud enough to fill a medium/large garden for a party?
    Bob asked on
    1. Yes, definately. But only if you plan to play cd's. I don't think the quality of the sound will be loud/clear enough if you plan to use music from an iphone.
      EVE replied on

  11. why cant i play songs from from my PC , i have the lead ...
    Hayden asked on
    1. The stereo has no connectivity options apart from the very basics ie headphones. I would have liked to play music from my PC also, but one simply can't.

What I've done is, I bought a USB and transferred my music from my PC onto it, an then transferred it again on to CD's. The sound it brilliant!

      Regards

  12. i like to get a fm signal from a station some way away using a muilti directional roof arial. does it have a facility to plug in a coax arial lead

    1. No sorry, it does not have the facility to do that! Connectivity options is very poor, you only have the very basic in-built ariel connection.

  13. I am thinking of getting one but I want ti know if I will be able to put an audio feed from my tv to it my dad has told me that I will be able to if it has a 3.5mm in out jack like in a car sterio so my question is does it have one? Thanks alot
    shaun asked on
    1. No, sorry it does not have one. The sound would have been great, but it can't do it! Sony have made it a little too basic.

      Regards
      EVE replied on

  14. I have read that it has kind of conectivity with iTune music.... is it true? how does it work? Can i conect my iphone 4? am i able to conect my PC with a mini jack or via another cable?

    Thanks
    Chris asked on
    1. I don't see how this is possible - this only way this could happen is if it had wireless connectivity to the internet - which it does not have!

I have read other Ask Me A Question comments and at least two people have said that their iphone 4 does not work on it. I don't have an iphone 4 so can't answer that part of your question.

It does not have the connectivity options to connect your PC to it, unfortunately.
      EVE replied on

  15. Can you please let me know if this is true?

"PC IN for easy connection with your home computer or laptop, and easy release of your entire iTunes digital music library"

How does this work? I am trying to download the user manual but i cannot so i cannot see the way of conecting it
    Chris asked on
    1. The EC69i cant do this. Forgive me SONY if I'm wrong!
      EVE replied on

  16. can you use the docking station for an mp3 player or only ipods or iphones, thanks x
