- Good points:
- Excellent sound quality even at long range
- Bad points:
-
Ear pads could be slightly larger to fit round the ears rather than on them.
The transmitter/recharging unit is very neat but there is no facility for "parking the eraphones when chraging or not in use.

- Good points:
- The sound quality is excellent and compared to my previous headphones (not wireless) they are out of this world
- Bad points:
- The only fault that I think could be addressed is that an adaptor for larger jack plugs should be included

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony MDR-RF800
-
Can you run two headsets off the same transmitter/base unit?
-
Sorry mate only got one head set, but thinking about it if there both on same frequency they should pick it up unless some sony jiggery pokery under the bonnet is in play. Go to Sony website they may be able to enlighten you more than me!

I am thinking about buying these for my dad because he is hard of hearing. If he wears them can the sound still be left on the tv for my mum to still listen to it
-
depends on your television, try an ordinary set of headphones and see if it turns the sound off. As you have to plug the jack on the transmitter into the headphone socket the same as an ordinary pair. You can get an adapter to use phono sockets (red and white coloured ariel type / speaker jacks), if the back of the tele has these then it will not turn the sound off. As for the headphone socket on the tele this may turn the sound off or their may be two volume settings one for tele speakers, one for headphones? Hope this helps?

The batteries keeps needing recharging too often. I assumed they have reached the end of their life so i have ditched them and replaced them by ordinary AAA rechargeable batteries. Lovely, it worked but when these batteries needed recharging the charger would not do it! I wish to know what battery to buy then.
-
I have replaced batteries in 'phones with no problem. Clean the contacts, ensure batteries inserted correctly and retry. you could buy a separate charger if necessary. otherwise, complain to Sony.

Score 9.0/10Very easy to set up
Reasonably swift start up.
Interesting access to programs from the top of the screen.
So far it seems to be manufactured from pretty robust materials.
A good quality display.
Excellent finish.
Why do manufacturers insist on sticking all those labels next to the keyboard, they are really pesky to remove?
