- Good points:
- Design is ok,connectivity is good,picture quality overall is good but when thereis a lot of trees or plants with a lot of green the image becomes poor with a lot of shimmering.the same thing also happens when there is a wire fence on screen.

- picture quality-out of the box settings were great,but after using settings for the KDL40W5500,obtained from hdtvtest.co.uk(both sets are identical,except the 46W5810 has freesat)the picture quality,especially hdtv,is fantastic.Watching tv has never been so enjoyable.The settings menu is so straight forward and easy to use

Hi Tony, I can watch all films fullscreen-so if this is not working I'd suggest changing the display format setting on the tv, but more than likely it is the input device (i.e. Blu-ray or DVD player) not transmitting picture in the correct format. Look at the output settings on that device.

Hi Tony, you can change screen formats via the remote, you should also be able to adjust the output of your dvd player etc.
