- Good points:
- Good quality and reliability - have always purchased Sony TV's and Hi-Fi equipment
- Bad points:
-
Was purchased for the claimed internet access and use of BBC i-player and ITV player. This is not as easy as I was lead to believe and I now access these services through Wii and PS3 devices.
This aspect of the product is very disappointing and very little helpful advice available on Sony website (unless I have missed something!)

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony KDL-40W5810
-
can i view youtube videos on my tv?
-
Not on this one (KDL-40W5810). As far as I know Sony does not even plan to update a firmware to this TV. From internet content you have access to simple widgets - AppliCast - i.e. RSS reader, timezones etc. - nothing really usefull. and in UK you can use BBCiPlayer via satellite tuner build in - Freesat (channell 901 and red button) - if you've connected TV to satellite dish and to the Internet.
