- Good points:
- Excellent picture quality and the wireless network setup was effortless and means I can see all my web based photos (I use Picasa) on the big screen plus catching up on missed programmes with BBC iPlayer etc. The monolith design means the TV looks substantial but stylish when not being used too.
- Bad points:
- The sound quality is OK but needs turning up a lot so I added a Q Acoustics Q-TV2 discreet 2:1 home cinema system to it and that is superb and ideally suited to integrate with this TV.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony KDL-40NX703

Any tips on how to connect the WIFI? Sony told me I need 2mb minimum broadband speed - we only get 1.4 here because of distance from exchange. Anyone able to connect with less than 2mb?
-
I also only receive approx 1.5 and I agree 2mb is the minimum required for guaranteed (non streaming) viewing but have used the connection to view via the BBC i-player and it was satisfactory. You tube is also ok without needing to stream.I haven't as yet tried watching a full movie so cannot comment on whether streaming happens. As regards to setting up just go to the internet set up via the menu and it will show after searching the available wifis.Click on your router and input the password and its then all set up.Hope the info is enough for you to work with.
-
I found that wifi was not very good because the TV really needs a Wireless-N and I only had a Wireless-G router. I changed to hardwired ethernet and even with a 10mb link, sometimes i-player stops since any heavy internet traffic can mean that the buffer in the TV empties quickly especially on BBC HD. I have had the trailers on lovefilm runnimg OK in HD but I've not tried a full film.
