Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini

  1. Do it have a flashing camera?
    sophie asked on
    1. Yes it has a camera with flash and takes a nice pic.
      Teri replied on

  2. Currently debating buying this phone, got three questions!

Firstly, how 'poor' is the battery life for this phone? I've noticed on a lot of reviews it's mentioned. I don't really use my phone much, other than for txting, and some days I don't use it at all - will the battery still run down really fast? Likewise, has anybody had problems with the phone freezing at all (a problem I often had with previous touch screen phones)?

Also - does it have an actual 'silent' setting? My current phone's 'silent' is actually vibrate, which is really annoying!

Lastly, given that I only really use my phone for txting and an occasional phone call or photo, do you think it's suitable? I never really require much from a phone!

    Thanks!
    Jade asked on
    1. Battery life is really good. I charge about twice a week. I find it is best to actually let it run low before charging which seems to be better for the battery.
You can turn vibrate off in the settings so no problem there.
I am the same re texting etc BUT be warned....apps are very addictive and I am hooked! Lol!
      Hope this helps
      Teri replied on

  3. What micro sd cards go with it would a 4GB micro sd hc go in the phone
    Natasha asked on
    1. any gb memory card will fit in it just finding the right make of memory card to fit the slot
      sarah replied on

  4. does it have a qwerty keyboard either slide out or turning the phone round on the touch screen?
    Sophie asked on
    1. Not this version.
      Teri replied on

  5. I really want this phone..but I'm pretty sure there's no QWERTY keypad...am I correct? :/
    Emma asked on
    1. You are correct. You want the pro version I think.
The touch screen is very easy to use though.
And the jump between numbers, letters and symbols
Is done with the swipe of your finger. It's a lovely little phone.
      Teri replied on

    2. No qwerty keypad on this phone. The touch screen is very easy though.
      Teri replied on

  6. how does the x10 compare to the nokia n8? i am torn between the two as i like both phones.
    carl asked on
    1. I haven't used a milia in quite a few years so
Cannot make the comparison for you. I just love
The text function on this and how easy it is to use.
      Teri replied on

  7. Does the phone flip out to a keyboard?
    sophie asked on
    1. Not this one. You will need the experia mini pro I think
      Check it out online.
      Teri replied on

  8. is this quad band?
    sum asked on
    1. Yes I believe it is quad band as am able to use in other countries.
      Teri replied on

    2. Think so.
      tracey replied on

  9. how good is the phone and how easy is it to work
    Lisa asked on
    1. Phone is very cute and extremely easy to use. Good idea to read the instructions though just to familiarise yourself with the keys/functions. Texting is a piece of cake and so simple. When recharging I have found it is much better to let the phone almost run dry before charging(after initial full charge). I have only had to recharge once this week using this method.
      Teri replied on

    2. The phone is great! It's lovely and compact and extremely easy to use. The phone also looks great... a real eyecatcher! It is very small and light, but simple to use. If you have any problems, a quick flick through the user guide should clear things up pretty quickly, though most of the functions are self explanitory. The only real problem is the battery life. Having said that, as long as it isn't used non-stop, then the battery is as good as can be expected from a phone packed with features!
      Nicola replied on

  10. i can receive pics ect thru bluetooth but i cant seem to send anything any ideas ???
    katie asked on
    1. sorry no not had any problems check your settings, also be careful there is a app that is using the internet all the time turn it off it's to do with traffic and also the message report is on all the time unless you turn that off.
      vicky replied on

  11. how do u send music and Photos through Bluetooth
    Rebecca asked on
    1. For photos just hit the mail icon upper left corner and send
You will need to search for devices and turn Bluetooth on
Don't know about music but imagine it is about the same as for photos. Hoe this helps.
      Teri replied on

  12. where will you find the free downlond music? im have prob find it but i just got the phone x
    kim asked on
    1. Hi, I haven't actually used the music app so can't help you there, I'm afraid! I think it's in the music store button
      Zoe replied on

    2. Mp3 music dowload or look in market place, there may be others?
      Julie replied on

  14. Does this camera have a front facing camera so you can take more accurate photos ? Can you edit the pictures on the phone ? Also can you get an msn app ? thankyou :) xx
    Gemma asked on
    1. Hi, it is a front facing camera which also has a good flash. Sadly u cant edit photos unless there is an app u could download. You can easily get access to msn apps via the phone menu and can download msn apps. Hope this helps.
      Kerry replied on

  17. Is this phone worth the money ? And would you recommend i wait for the new Xperia phone to come out or just buy this one ? x thankies :)
    Gemma asked on
    1. That's your decision to make. This phone is great if you want small. If you intend using apps etc you might want a bigger screen.
      Teri replied on

    marie asked on
    1. Yes it does have an app for Facebook but you may be able to delete it, I am not sure.
      Jill replied on

  21. Why does this phone suck at staying alive and picking up signal, also how come the 3G barely works on it
    Billy asked on
    1. I'd contact your network operator about that cos I'm on Orange and 3G works really well. Best to charge up every night to stay alive!
      Clare replied on

  22. is this phone easy to handle as it is so small? I currently have the vivaz u5 so its quite a size difference to get used to. Also how is the texting? only im used to querty keyboard
    Emma asked on
    1. I found it hard to handle particularly during phone calls (it spent most of the time on the floor as opposed to by my ear). As for the texting, the buttons are quite responsive and I did get the hang of it but a lot of people seem to disagree and say the keys are too small.
      Sarah replied on

  23. can you share the wifi like barnacle to use with my ipod touch 4g
    ryan asked on
    1. not very sure sorry

      Steve replied on

  25. do you know if you can use chat on facebook on this phone?
    lisa asked on
    1. It doesn't appear so. If it does then I haven't found it yet !
      Sue replied on

  26. can u get facebook on it ????
    emily asked on
    1. Yes. there is a specific widget already installed on your phone for facebook when you get it. The widget is very easy to use
      Katie replied on

    2. yes u can and more
      jon replied on

  27. How much dose it cost, and how do you work it .....?!!

    Chloe :) asked on
    1. Sorry it was a free upgrade, it's all touch screen.

You scroll left to right through menu screens, but you can choose the menu screen which suits how you want to use it. It's quite straight forward once you've got it to play with.
      Simon replied on

  28. If I got a phone last year and I now want this phone, is it worth selling my other phone and buying this one?
Any faults with the phone, if there is please explain..I'd like to know before I definately ask to get it!

    Catherine asked on
    1. only problem i have had is the battery life isn't great. if i use it a lot during the day i end up having to charge it every night
      Joanne replied on

  29. i own one all ready but cant seem to get the battery out i know this seems a random question but having trouble trying to charge it up so my girlfriend who also has one said if i can get battery out and place it in hers now i only bought it last year and have only used it for 3 months please help as feel bamboozalled.
    jason asked on
    1. I don't think you can take the battery out unless you take the phone apart which will affect your warrenty. You may have a faulty charger or connection inside the charge point. I think you may need to take it back to where you got it from and ask for a new one or replacement. Sorry I cant help you more.
      Sarah replied on

  30. hello i want to know how much contacts in phone memory we can save i m looking nearly 2000 i want to know
    qurram asked on
    1. No idea, but probably up to your mini-card capacity, which can be huge!
