Compact, fast, fairly easy to use and the tilting live view screen is clear and very handy.
Two memory card slots for SD and PRO DUO is also a bonus,
picture quality very good, especially in RAW.
Overall hard to beat for the price, "i would say". - Bad points:
-
Changing aperature setting's in manual mode take some getting used to as there isn't a separate jog wheel for this,
The white balance button has to be held down with the thumb whilst adjustments are made with the front jog dile.
Also the lithium battery is very small for an SLR and does not last as long as others i'v used.
Apart from that i'm happy!

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony Alpha DSLR-A330L with 18-55mm lens
-
Is it possible to take HD video with the A330? If not, is there likely to be any kind of software upgrade that would allow you to do this in the future? If not, what model would I have to change to to get video capability?
-
As far as I am aware the SONYA330 does not take video of any form at all. It is a still camera only. As to software upgrades etc in the future to enable it to take video, that surely must be a question directed at SONY? Similarly which of their DSLR cameras does take video is one for them to answer?
I bought my A330 as a DSLR and am very pleased indeed with its performance. It produces some excellent still photos, is versatile and robust and all this at a fraction of the cost of more prestigeous makes of camera - and the Minolta lenses from my old film SLR fit!
-
-
I bought a flash gun with an adapter. Is there a setting you need to activate to allow the adapter to work.
-
I don't know as I do not have a seperate flash. Page 85 of the Instruction Manual has a small menu entry piece about firing an external flash gun by wireless, but other than that it seems a bit bare? Does the flashgun not have instructions on how to interface it? Will the place you bought it from help?
Good luck!
