really easy to set up and excellent sound, the overall sound level in the room is reduced but the listening quality
is greatly improved. No need to have the TV on loud when you are sitting at the other end of the room. - Bad points:

Will the system work with a sky box...i mean..can you listen to normal tv or just dvd's ? Thanks in advance
-
You can connect it direct to the TV and listen to that ie analogue-if you still watch it, but other than than it's just DVD's. I thought I could get anoptical cable to resolve it, but there is no optical socket. Overall, it's an AMAZING sound quality. Thanks

can you connect sky to this home theatre system

No unfortunately, it's just a DVD player/surround sound-but it's still a good a piece of equipment.

hi, i have problems with my hearing will the
sound quality help me.-
Hi,i don't see a problem as the speakers are 100watt per speaker, which can be very loud,i suggest turning the volume up gradually,to determine your acceptable level, hope that helps.

Score 8.0/10It's reasonably simple to use, and you can get the sound from the TV going through it. You connect your TV via the 2-way scart socket, so the sound from the telly can go through all the speakers with anything transmitted in Dolby surround. The 5.1 effect is actually "simulated" using the Dolby pro-logic system, but it sounds great, hard to tell any difference between DVD's using "real" 5.1 audio.
Not the best on the market, but good quality sound nevertheless. I'd be surprised if there was anything much better at this price.
I would have liked some control over EQ, but there is none. For audiophiles like myself this is a real shortfall but for films and TV the EQ is more or less fine. Live music is another matter, and it could really do with a basic graphic EQ, especially to boost the top end. You can attenuate each speaker individually, but only by a maximum of 6db. In an average living room the sound is really bass-heavy, so my sub-woofer is permanently set at -6db, as quiet as I can get it, which just about suffices.
