- Good points:
- easy set up,clear instructions, good bass, brings tv/dvds to life, why have an excellent HDpicture without surround sound,as the soundtrack is as much a part of viewing as the picture. Radio is an additional bonus. The wife was not happy at first with me buying this product, however she is now a convert to surround sound and loves the music channels on sky even more.

SVR-HDT500.All units output to sound system when switched to TV.This might not be much help to you if you do not have a Bravia telly but Im sure the DAV will work fine useing a SCART to the cable box. -

I am trying to link up my JVC HD TV to the Sony system so that everything that comes from the TV goes through the home theatre speakers.
There is a SPDIF coaxial out from the TV to a convertor to TOSlink in to the theatre system. Having problems with no sound. I have gone through the TV & DVD menus but to no avail...
Could you please help
Many thanks
Michael-
We had this too. Make sure you plug it into the correct point in back of sony system. I can not remember which one.
You have to have the sony sytem on everytime you use the tv. I think the setting on Sony box is TV.
If you have a sky box then it goes from the sky box into Sony dvd.
I hope this helps. We did keep playing around with it.
If you remember the loop system from the diagram in sony booklet, cross off what you dont have and keep the loop going.
All the best
Carolle.
Everything has to go in a loop to work.

can i connect my pc through this unit for sound stright from pc
-
yes,it has a USB port on the front panel and a USB selector button on the remote control.
-
-
is the product multi-region or region free?
-
So far I have not had any issues with playing DVD from different regions.
-
-
What are the dimentions of the dvd player? My tv stand is a bit narrow, so I was wondering if it would fit.
-
Hi Pauline
Here's what you need:
430mm x 219mm x 36mm (width/depth/height).
This includes any projecting parts so it's a maximum size. It looks very neat, slim and modern. Easy to use and produces excellent pictures on my Sony Bravia 3D HDTV. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask for more info. All good things, Steve.

-
How long are the wires for the rear speakers?
-
20 metres approx
-
-
What additional wires will i need to set this up. I have a samsung TV with built in freeview and a playstation 3. if possible but not essential i would link up my mp3 player aswell ??
-
I guess you'll need an HDMI cable to connect to the TV (or maybe scart if it's an older TV). I think you use your red, blue and yellow cables to connect your game station. Hope this helps.
