Score 8.0/10
Good points:
size-optical viewfinder-ease of controls/use-optical zoom range
Bad points:
special battery, all compact cameras ought to use AA batteries, I have five digital cameras and Sony score badly for needing special battery and thus seem to get overlooked when out and about, in favour brands using AA

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Personally I like an optical viewfinder on my digital cameras. This is now quite rare and the W170 was one of the few models which included this feature.
Bad points:
I would have liked a voice memo facility. Otherwise no bad points.

  1. How do I delete old unwanted photo's from my camera ? It appears to be locked into a save mode and will not delete...Also will this model accept the wide angle and telephoto lens? I love the quality of this camera. And finally do the NP-BG1 type G batteries with this camera go bad and have to be replaced and will not take a new charge? Thankyou very much...Chris BV

    1. Using PictBridge complient Printer - instructions in camera handbook. Printing Still Images, Page 111.

I use the various printing options which are available using the software which came on the DVD. If you have mislaid this it can be downloaded from the Sony Website.
