- Good points:
- my last camera was a vivitar 3.4. loading the disc information into my pc was difficult and took several attempts. it broke within a year, and picture quality on night shots was lacking. using the camera was fussy, not at all straight forward. now onto my sony cyber-shot 10.1.loading onto my pc was accomplished on the first attempt. downloading pictures onto my pc was a doddle. and picture quality is far superior. just using the camera is straight forward and uncomplicated. which it needs to be as i am not computer lierate. a strongly reccomended product.
- Bad points:
- non yet, yes one, no carry case included with camera.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S2000
-
Does it record videos?
-
Yes it does - very simply.
One small thing that looks like a problem - When you play the video back on your camera it does not include sound.
Not a problem though because when you copy it to your PC the sounds is OK.
-
-
does this camera captures movie with sound?
-
Yes it does. But the sound is not heard in camera. U can hear it when you plug in your camera with your pc or laptop
-
-
does it have flash light and also want to know about its memory
-
Yes it has a built-in flash.
With regard to memory, I already had a Pro Duo memory stick from a previous Sony camera so I put this. This works well and gives massive memory (1GB which is easily enough for me).
The official write-up for the camera says that it has 6MB memory without an additional memory card.
One word of warning about the camera.
I bought the camera from Tesco Direct. It is a really nice camera. Small but good standard of pictures BUT about 6 weeks after I bought it, I started to have trouble with the LCD screen. It just stopped working.
I could still take pictures but without the LCD screen I could not aim the camera or see what I was taking or review the picture after I took it. I just had to point and hope that I had got the subject in the picture.
The problem is an intermittent one - sometimes the LCD is OK sometimes it is not working.
I contacted Tesco Direct who says that they will replace.
Fair enough BUT the camera is now out of stock and with no date for when it comes back into stock.
So I am using it as it is and hoping for an eventual replacement from Tesco. No blame on Tesco here as they offered an alternative camera but, despite the problem with the LCD screen, I like the camera and want the same model.
Hope this helps

I just bought a Sony Cyber shot camera DSC-S2000. I can't figure out how to view images. I put in a card that I had used on my other camera which has existing pictures on it but they won't show up. The new pictures I take are no problem, I have figured out to look at them, just can't access the others.
I would appreciate some help, I tried calling Sony and couldn't get anyone.-
Sorry I don't know this either!
-
-
When I turn On my camera, it will display 'Turn on and off your camera again'...Why this note was display?
-
Sorry I don't know not had this happened to me or I haven't noticed it - could try new batteries in case the existing ones are running low. Hope this helps.
-
-
Hye...
Why my camera display 'Turn on and off your camera again'. It happen every time i turn on my camera.-
Need to b looked by a technician love, it's technical fault which we ourselves can't rectify .
-
-
how long this camera can record a video ?? and i hear about the flash is not good enough us that right ??
anyone please answer ... :) thanx-
Flash is quiet good n video recordin depends on memory space available on memory card , the memory u have in it the more you record :)
-
-
not very good picture qulaty. I tried both 10 mp and 5mp. picture looks grainy. any sugestions
-
There r different picture modes option , try that aswell
-
-
How long do the 'AA' non rechargable batteries last/how often do you need to replace them?
-
Non rechargeable batteries don't last much time. I myself is using rechargeable 2050 maH batteries. So rechargeable would be preferred!
-
-
I put a card in and cant even take a picture it says memory card lock. nothing happens when i try to take picture
-
I'm not very technically minded - if this happened to me I would take out the memory card and re-load it. Hope this helps
-
-
When i want to make a video, i watch it but there is no sound coming from it
also which way do i put the batteries in ?-
I haven't used the video yet and the batteries go in the bottom of the camera there is a diagram
-
-
what memory card is available for this camera, as I am thinking of purchasing one in near future?
-
I used a 4GB SD memory card which gives more than enough memory - hope this helps
