Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony Bravia KDL-46NX723

  1. One review said that the iplayer was good but shame couldn't get ITV iplayer, why is this? Am thinking of buying this tv have a Panasonic 37" plasma at the moment.
    Thanks Tim
    Tim asked on
    1. You're right there is no ITV iPlayer at the moment - I've no idea why, maybe it'll just appear sometime when the software updates itself. The BBC iPlayer is great though, especially in HD.
      James replied on

    2. True, no idea why not. You could watch it through the web browser though. Just a bit awkward to manage without a keyboard, but we use an iPad or iPod for browsing using a remote control app. Don't let this put you off what is a great media TV. Brilliant for streaming your photo's, music and films from PC also.
      Martin replied on

  2. Can you play Youtube videos on this? Does it play all embeded videos in different websites ?

    thanks.
    Bhagwan asked on
    1. Youtube works fine. I'm not sure about embedded videos in websites as I don't use the web browser because it's hopeless trying to navigate using the remote.
      James replied on

  3. Does the tv come with the sound bar and a base. Also does the sound bar work same time as the tv
    Bal asked on
    1. The TV was supplied with a base, but it's not necessary when the sound bar is used. I was given the sound bar for "free" when I bought the TV. It just plugs in via a supplied HDMI lead and separate power and works fine.
      James replied on

  4. Can the TV be wall mounted with the sound bar attached?
    Lyn asked on
    1. I haven't attempted that configuration but I don't see how it would work as the TV only sits on the sound bar
      Michael replied on

  5. What type of 3D glasses do i need?
    ibrahim asked on
    1. I use the Sony 3D glasses that were reccomended by the dealer.
      david replied on

  6. Hello, am wondering if a similar model acquired from the USA, Sony NSX-46GT1 to save some money, would just work? Since its Internet TV, would there be any issues getting it setup in the UK? Apart from the look that's a bit different, its largely similar technology. Opinions? Any export/import control issues ?
    Isaac asked on
    1. The TV uses a different system in Europe so the TV signal would not work. The internet TV is only part of the TV option to watch iPlayer/youtube etc. you would still require Freeview/Virgin/Sky to watch TV.
      Michael replied on

    2. I dont think it would work as european system is different
      david replied on

  7. does 3d need to be at eye level or can it be wall mounted
    brian asked on
    1. i dont know i dont plan on sticking it on the wall though it would look terrible on the wall
      lee replied on

    2. the screen needs to be at 90 deg to the line from eye to screen otherwise the 3d effect will be affected
      john replied on

  8. does this 3d tv support 2d to 3d convertion
    Wayne asked on
    1. Yes but don't buy it ...the 3D is terrible. I took mine back.

      Rob
      rob replied on

    2. You can run simulated 3D from 2D tv and video it is well worth getting pt No 1-458-395-11 polarizer adapter filters for Sony for TDG-BR250 3D glasses it improves 3D a lot these are free if you have problems with cross talk work really well
      Nigel replied on

  9. I want to stick it on the wall. Can I do it?
    Asif asked on
    1. Mine is on a shelf if you want to put it on the wall you will need to buy a bracket
      Linda replied on

  10. TELL ME THAT BY BUYING THE SONY BRAVIA KDL46NX723 THEY WILL GIVE A MONOLITHIC STAND TO US REALLY
    UDAY asked on
    1. Yep mine came with that stand
      lee replied on

    2. Don't know, probably up to the retailer
      john replied on

  11. What adaptors do you have to purchase to run Sky etc. What is ethernet?
    Carol asked on
    1. We have virgin and we just plugged the HDMI cable into the TV. Ethernet is the Internet connection cable this TV also has wireless capabilities
      Linda replied on

  12. does the KDL-46 NX723 an LED SCREEN.
    martin asked on

  13. hi there , i want to buy this tv but i have question about 3d . i mean if i do not want to watch 3d can i switch over to led or normal tv ?. do i need to wear the 3d glass at all the time when i watch this tv?
    rahman asked on
    1. 3D is rather the option rather than the norm. normal tv is prominent you have to tell it to go 3D unless it detects it itself which it does with ease. you wont regret the purchase. picture is outstanding on HD, 3D, BR
      Neil replied on

    2. No you can switch between normal hd viewing and 3d viewing whenever you like
      lee replied on

    3. No need to do anything, you can just watch TV normally
      Michael replied on

    4. Picture is amazing, but have never used 3D option.
      Barry replied on

    5. Picture quality is absolutely stunning. 3D is an option rather than normal. U need to seletec the 3D to view. I never used the option. Good luck!!
