we had problems with interference coming from the sub-woofer. sony "fixed" it. now no sound comes out of it at all. surely it should shouldnt it ?

I would have thought so, I would go back to Sony and ask them to look in to this.

Can the DVD player be laid flat as opposed to being stood on end as it shows in the display pictures
