Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Sony BDP-S370

  1. I can't play a 3D film on it. Is it possible to do so?
    A shopper asked on
    1. As far as im aware is not possible to play 3D on it, although I have never actually tried as I dont have a 3D TV.
      Nevil replied on

  2. Sony blu ray disc "/dvd player bdp-s370

I can't play a 3D film on it. Is it possible to do so?
    Alex asked on
    1. I don't think this player is 3D compatible.
      Chris replied on

    2. I believe not. You require a different model and 3D TV.
      Richard replied on

  3. I cannot view Iplayer programmes - get message: not enough memory - close !!!
    john asked on
    1. Sorry but I don't know the solution. I assume that you see the BBC I Player icon under the video header and get the error message once you select it. If you can use the other sites such as Youtube or Love Film trailers, the internet streaming must be working OK.
It would be worth posting for help in the Sony BDP-S370 users thread in the AVForums.com site (Blu-ray players).
      Brian replied on

  4. Is it possible to play Multi Region DVD's on this machine?
    Paul asked on
    1. I am not too sure about that. I have only ever bought UK dvd's. I think that Sony themselves are the best people to ask.

I have since sold my bdp-s30 and upgraded to a bdp-s570b. A fabulous 3d version.
      Simon replied on

  5. Can it play AVCHD disks?
    David asked on
    1. Don't know sorry, but only use blockbuster rental discs.
      Rick replied on

  6. hi there, I have a sony KDL-40U2000 tv which dosen't have ethernet port, does this rule out internet connection with this player? thank you.
    John asked on
    1. The player has an ethernet, so you connect the player directly to the local network, or whatever.
      David replied on

    2. I agree with the previous post-the player connects to your hub or router via ethernet and then on to your tv via HDMD lead.
      James replied on

  7. Does this player allow you to display subtitles on BBC iplayer? If not, please let me know whether there are any BDPs around that offers this capability?

    Thanks
    Peter asked on
    1. Sorry, cant help,as I only have mobile Dongle for computer, and not on wifi, and I can;t find out if this would work by simply pluggin in the dongle to the Blueray player. Oddly enough, I was going into town the other day to ask this in the SONY shop, only to discover they had shut up, and the nerest one is some 20 miles away!!
One thing I do find, when playing discs, there is quite a lot of noise from what I preseume one would call the 'turntable' ie the disc going round....do you get this?
Sorry I can't help on the origial question.
      Keith
      keith replied on

    2. no not at all it quite when being used
      julie replied on

  8. Does this model only offer an TV entertainment browser? Or is there a way of using it that will allow you to browse the whole of the internet??
    Meg asked on
    1. You can only access items that Sony have made available such as films, old TV shows, LoveFilm, Youtube etc. Menu is updated from time to time but you cannot surf the web.
      James replied on

    2. There is set of self contained web services (e.g. you tube, love film etc). As per Jame's answer, you cannot surf the web. There is no general browser option. I occasionally use my Wii for tv based browsing but screen resolution only 460i. Would be a nice option though if could be done on a software update.
      John replied on

  9. Hey mate ,is it possible to link my samsung nexus s model phone to be used as a remote control for my BDP-S370 Sony? I've been told it is capable to do so! & I also have a problem that only myblu-Ray discs are playing in black & white only! Everything else is fine ! Please help driving me mad at the moment!
    Phill asked on
    1. No idea on both your questions.....sorry about that.
      John replied on

    2. Can't help you with that, sorry mate
      Tony replied on

  10. Hi can i watch Netflix through this player, have no idea how to set this up if this is possible can you talk me through it?

    carl asked on
    1. I dont know if Netflix is available on this player. To connect to the internet you need an ethernet cable plugged into the back of the unit and from there into your internet router. I have used this device for iPlayer. Hope that helps.
