Good points:: Simple to construct, use and maintain. Picks up well, even with a lower power motor than our last hoover 1300w from a 1900w! Very pleased.
Bad points:: Not sure how good the filteration is yet... Still sneezing a lot when hoovering, but is that because the dust is physically thrown up into the air rather than not being filtered and blown out of the appliance?
