- Good points:
- It connects to our wireless network and works very well
- Bad points:
- you have to login to the network each time you turn the blu-ray player on, at the moment we have not found a way for the blu-ray player to remember the login details.

- Good points:
- The idea of connecting my TV to the internet and other hardware around the house is quite appealing and the adaptor does what it meant to.
- Bad points:
- You don't have any real choice if you want to connect your TV (only the Samsung adaptors work) and currently only IPayer and YouTube are really any use. Until more apps are available it's not an essential bit of kit.

Could not get the device to link up with smart TV unless the device was inches from my router
Far too expensive for what it is
The set up for internet on this smart tv is too tedious with this device it's just like texting on a mobile

- This product will not work with a Freesat Box to enable you to use BBC i player or 4 Ondemand. It will only work with a smart TV that has the nessersary chip inside. I was advised that I could use this stick in the back of my freesat box but when I asked about it at Samsung help desk they told me it would only work in and with a smart TV.

You need to be conected properly to router. And this is only for sharing media from your computer.you need do some setings ni your pc. You need to do test of your connection in your tv and after that it will show you what is wrong.hoppe i helpped

Is the Dongle worth buying for the Samsung Apps that are available? Or does it not add much benifit to the TV?
-
I don't know about getting more Samsung apps onto the TV, but it does BBC iplayer, lovefilm and youtube. It would be nice if you do the 4onDemand etc, not just BBC. I have used it to stream from my PC over WiFi. Not had any WiFi connectivity issues. I have found the BBC iplayer doesn't like being paused, it eventually freezes and you have to exit and restart (you can fast forward a minute at a time)
-
works well if you have networked you computer as i can watch films direct from my hard drive

-
Sorry, I can't think of an obvious reason. My dongle connected to my wifi straight away and instructions for connecting to internet tv were quite straightforward. I can only suggest you get in touch with Samsung customer service who were very helpful when I had an issue downloading an upgrade.

Using the dongle I have the tv set up in my bedroom and, via wifi, can watch BBC iPlayer, Lovefilm and YouTube. There are other applications but I don't use them. I,ve no idea about connecting via my PC.

After I have set up my network and it say's connected, where do I go from there? As it just disappears from my screen and when I scroll down to USB it says it isn't connected.
-
you should get a screen up showing options like facebook and film sites to go on

I have purchased an LED Samsung T V 40 inch, will this Adaptor allow me to watch BBC i player etc on my t.v? If so, apart from 'plugging the adaptor into' my t.v. what else do I have to do please?
-
It's easy enough to just go into the settings and network settings. Look for wireless and select the WiFi network and enter the password using the TV remote.
-
-
This seems quite pricey. Are there similar but less expensive dongles around?
-
£55.00 cheapest price
