- Good points:
- Great picture, superb upscaling - SD looks almost as good as HD. Freesat is great and the iPlayer red button app works very well.
- Bad points:
- Sound isn't brilliant - only two internal speakers and no amplified speaker connections brought out.

- Good points:
- I bought this in December but am only just reviewing as my spare time is usually spent sat in front of my new TV. The LED TVs had caught my eyes in the shops as they were brightest on show, but I finally made my mind up to go for a more natural looking Plasma screen after a lot of thought about it. After 6 months researching about it online, the price difference of the Plasmas when compared to LED TVs, the black handling capabilities of the Plasma sets over the LEDs and also, finally, the Neo-PDP 600 hz adverts that Panasonic were broadcasting at the time swayed me in this TVs direction. I wasn't interested in the 3D TVs after seeing a movie at the cinema which was in 3D, which I really enjoyed as a one off might I add, but the thought of watching 3D all the time just wasn't for me, and so I decided to get a really good 1080P High definition TV instead. The same spec Panasonic with 3D capabilities was much more expensive at the time of me buying it by the way. I was thoroughly impressed with my purchase. The Infinite Blacks are amazing on this TV, so deep and true. Connected it to a Bluray player and popped in David Attenborough's Planet Earth BBC series for literally stunning image quality through the Dynamic Mode viewing setting on the TV. Simply breath taking scenery and images were produced of a quality I would associate with still, high quality imagery I would use as my PCs desktop wallpaper. The TV also looks lovely sat in my room, maybe not the most eye catching surround available in the shops, but if you're buying a TV to look at anything than the image quality then that's up to you. After watching 3 movies in Bluray quality I got Sky HD in and although it's not broadcast in 1080P (720P or my preferred 1080i viewing setting) it's a cracking watch through this TV. The image quality on football games is splendid and programs that have been filmed in HD on Sky One are awesome. You can also watch content directly through the USB slots that you may have transferred from your PC via a USB memory stick. My Wife-to-be also loves the fact she can just pop the memory card from her digital camera straight into the TV to look at the photographs she's taken - hassle free. Image quality is so large and crystal clear and the viewing angle so wide on the screen, combined with the sound of a jungle or forest, it sends my four territorial Lovebirds that sit in the same room, barking bonkers mad whenever anything like this comes on. This TV has been worth every penny I paid for it so far.
- Bad points:
- Sound is good to decent and room filling enough for my medium sized room, handles day to day programs well but you might want to hook up a proper surround system for movies, if you're expecting big things in this department you will be slightly disappointed. USB slots and memory card slots are on the back left as you face the TV and can be awkward to find especially if you can't get round the back of it to view the slots.

- Good points:
- Great picture, easy to set up, easy to operate, good sound quality.
- Bad points:
- Could be more visually appealing. Pricey in comparison to other plasma screens but then you are paying for the Panasonic reputation

- Good points:
- This TV is brilliant. I was a bit concerned about setting it up as we didn't pay any extra to have it done for us. My husband had gone out when it was delivered, so I set it up myself - it was really, really easy, just a few screws to attach it to the stand then just plug in and it does it all for you. My husband arrived home to find our brand new TV up and running, just in time to sit down and watch the 6 Nations Rugby!
- Bad points:
- Can't think of any

Full-HD NeoPDP Plasma TV with Freeview HD & Freesat HD built-in, 600Hz Sub-field Drive Intelligent Frame Creation Pro, Infinite Black and THX Mode
The G20 Series includes a DVB-S tuner for Freesat HD and a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK.
600Hz Sub-field Drive technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects. *When using Cinema mode.
A contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 enables VIERA to display extremely robust blacks. A new filter, improvements to the cell discharge area, and enhanced cell performance have greatly increased luminous efficiency to produce crisp blacks. And minimising the electrical pre-discharge helps to both raise contrast and save energy.
THX reproduces film images exactly as the film’s creators intended them. The overall aim was to improve the experience of cinema-goers and faithfully recreate the audio and visual ambience that filmmakers intended. To receive THX certification, TVs undergo stringent tests to determine, for example, whether the exact same brightness and colour are displayed at all screen locations, and whether black levels satisfy standard criteria. VIERA meets the high standards set by the THX Certified Display Program.
Enjoy Internet content right on your TV. With VIERA CAST you can enjoy online videos, photos, and more. You can also check sports, news, weather and stock information with an easy-to-use Web interface that’s built into the TV. What’s more, VIERA CAST’s assorted online content has new additions, including the remarkably popular SkypeTM and Twitter applications. VIERA CAST not only offers unique web entertainment but also expands your forms of communication.
It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. An easy-to-see, easy-to-use thumbnail display has also been added. You can also enjoy special background music, slideshow frames and transition effects.

how to get the picture out of this set? what is the best way to view it?
regards
Andy-
Turn it on !
Seriously, I have Sky and it cost me £40 for an Aerial man to come and fit another wire from the Sky dish to the Tv and I watch through the FreeSat. Not really tried the Freeview. To get the best out of the Tv you need hook it up to surround sound. -
Hi - You'll right Eddie but you forgot you got to plug it in also before you switch it on! - likewise i view through sky which is brill but the terrestrial picture also is good even with my dodgy reception! Haven't tried Freeview myself either but I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Great set!!

I'm really interested in this TV and i have done lots of research on it, and I'm very impressed.
Just want to know if it's as good as it comes across on paper?
Is it easy to operate, do you use all the net features, and have you had any problems, IE screen burn etc etc?-
Have to say I am very pleased with my purchase. Picture quality is excellent. I haven't tried all the features as the main reason I purchased this model was for the PC connectivity. In this respect I have no complaints. Very easy to switch between various modes.
-
I have used all the features and they are very impressive. easy set up for tv, pc and games console. No problem with screen burn so far. I have three other panasonic tv'ss in the house and have never had any problems. Two lcd and one plasma, all brilliant picture quality
-
Like yourself I carried out a lot of research before choosing this model and have not been disappointed.
Takes a while to get used to all the features but that is half the fun. Which recommend Panasonic and Sony all through their best buys. With 3D now available hopefully you will be able to buy for a good price. I paid £683.90 including free delivery from Dixons - happy hunting Anthony
