Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Fairly Easy to set up initially to get channels stores and start viewing, additional features a little more complex.

Excellent picture from all angles.
Bad points:
The instruction manual is very large. The TV has so many functions takes a while to get to grips with how they all work. Still working my way through 4 weeks after purchasing product.

Sound OK but recommend palying via external HiFi / Surround sound system.

Confirmed purchaser Multi-purpose viewer

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Outstanding picture quality, the colours are fantastic, not a single faulty pixel, a wide angle of good view. The sound is surprisingly good, much better than in most LCD televisions I have seen. The TV is very easy to set up and to operate. The menu is clear and logical. Great connectivity, it worked immediately with DVD, VCR, XBOX and iPlayer. Freeview and Freesat HD tuners are great (the quality of picture with freesat tuner is considerably better than with skybox). Very good user manual, and a clear and robust remote control. We have had it for a month and so far I cannot find a fault with this TV.
Bad points:
I bit pricey but a fantastic tv.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
love the easy to use remote control and the tv features, excellent slim attractive design, fab picture and sound. Ive heard panasonic are one of the best tv brands too so think ive got a fairly good price for it. love that its LED and supposed to be more energy efficient.
Bad points:
the picture very occasionally goes blurry when fast moving objects are shown. but not a problem as hardly happens and could be that i need to browse through the features to adjust more. So wish Id gone for a 40" though. Used to have 26" so thought a 37" would be more than enough. But its so slim and compact that I could have gone alot larger.

TV Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

Full-HD IPS LED LCD with Freeview HD & Freesat HD built-in, Intelligent Frame Creation Pro, 2mil:1 Contrast and VIERA CAST.

The D25 Series includes a DVB-S tuner for Freesat HD and a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK.

The IPS panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle and excellent light transmittance, is now further enhanced with a bright, energy-saving LED backlight. Images do not fade when viewed from an angle, and contrast is higher than in previous IPS models in spite of using less power. The IPS LED LCD TV offers superb colour rendering and also contributes to the display’s slim design.

Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50Hz video signal input, Intelligent Frame Creation Pro makes 100 frames/second from 50 frames/second. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology to greatly enhance resolution.

Both high contrast and energy-saving efficiency have been achieved in the IPS LED LCD TV by combining the IPS panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle, with a bright, energy-efficient LED backlight. Even dark scenes like night skies are naturally rendered with delicate shades of black.

The Intelligent Scene Controller further boosts the image quality. The wide 178° viewing angle ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight’s wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response.

Enjoy Internet content right on your TV. With VIERA CAST you can enjoy online videos, photos, and more. You can also check sports, news, weather and stock information with an easy-to-use Web interface that’s built into the TV. What’s more, VIERA CAST’s assorted online content has new additions, including the remarkably popular Skype and Twitter applications. VIERA CAST not only offers unique web entertainment but also expands your forms of communication.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Panasonic TX-L37D25

  1. Having read some reviews about this TV, it certainly looks like what I am looking for. As a owner it would be appreciated if you could confirm for me that the Freeview SD picture is as good or better than a a CRT. Cannot get Freeview HD yet.

Also a couple of Professional reviews have indicated that the set suffers from Motion Judder and Motion Blur. Do you see this? Your remarks would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Roy W
    Roy asked on
    1. The freeview SD picture is much more clear and detailed than our Sony crt. Once you get HD the picture quality is outstanding. I have`nt witnessed any Motion Judder or Blur having just watched the live tennis and sky football both were superb.
      Michael replied on

  2. did you have any problems setting up with sky, the reason i ask is because i have not been able to marry sky with my panasonic dvd hard drive recorder
    Richard asked on
    1. The set up with my sky HD box was plain sailing, as much as, once the tv had booted up i then put the tv onto hdmi1 channel by pressing the AV button on the remote and all the Sky channels were in. No problems so far and a superb picture to boot.
We had a slight problem seting up the Wii cosole but that is now on the AV3 channel and now works perfectly
