Good points:: Really delighted with this product and would most definitely recommend it.
Bad points:: One minor point. Did not detect on/off switch at side of TV which is easy to turn off by just brushing against it. Also remote control does not overide if TV has been switched off using this switch. Felt that manual could mention this in future. But apart from that really delighted with the model.

Good points:: I spent a long time researching and the Viera's picture quality beat all other offerings at this price. Other offerings have more frills but for me it was all about the best quality picture for the money.
Bad points:: Design; both of TV and Remote is a little uninspiring but not offensive.

Full-HD IPS LCD with with Freeview HD built-in, 100Hz Intelligent Frame Creation Pro, VIERA Image Viewer and Game Mode. The S20 Series includes a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way* of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK*.

Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50Hz video signal input, 100Hz Intelligent Frame Creation Pro makes 100 frames/second from 50 frames/second. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology to greatly enhance resolution.

The wide 178* viewing angle ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight’s wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response. *Measured at an angle where the contrast ratio is 10:1 or higher.

It’s easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. An easy-to-see, easy-to-use thumbnail display has also been added. You can also enjoy special background music, slideshow frames and transition effects.

VIERA Link allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable.

In Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What’s more, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works with the anti-image retention (wobbling) function, too.
