- Good points:
- We already have a large Panasonic Plasma which we are very happy with and I wanted a white television with freesat so this television seemed perfect. It was easy to set up and we wanted a TV that gave us the facility of both Freesat and Sky which this one does so we can also have the HD channels and TV on demand etc. The picture is marvellous, cannot fault it and the sound quality is very good so you can use it for music etc. I love Viera Cast to view U tube... Overall we are very happy with it and glad we went for a 32" which is a perfect size for our room.
- Bad points:
- The Viera Cast is the only downside as the only thing that interest me from the available selection is U tube. To use skype you need to buy additional equipment and I already spent money to get the Freesat satellite installed and for the 'dongle' to get Viera Cast to work. So not really an attraction!!

The product performed to a high standard, tube/picture screen was of good balanced colour, with natural flesh tones, the sound was of equal quality, and the the specification of this television was very good.
Very good value for money. - Bad points:
- The instruction booklet could have been made clearer, and was not very well laid out.

- Superb quality picture using FreeSat which is why I bought this model. Bought for 90 year old father and he is stunned! Enjoying every minute.
- Bad points:
-
FreeSat channel numbers a bit confusing for a 90 year old but he is getting used to them gradually.
Wished there had been a satelite lead included but ver small gripe.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Panasonic TX-L32D28B

I am planning on buying this make of TV. Question
The mains lead connecting into the TV Does it fit tight. I bought a Samsung Tv & the mains lead connecting into the TV was loose and caused the TV to short and turn off.-
The Power Lead is built into the TV and not one that can be taken out like some models.

What other brand of Wi fi dongle are compaitable with this tv? Any cheap option as panasonic Wi Fi dongle is very expensive as compare to many others?
-
I do not use a wi-fi dongle as I have connected using the RJ45 connection. If you do some googling you will find that some other dingles work but it might be worth seeing if internet connectivity does what you want before looking into the dongle. I have found playing movies stored on my TV/youtube/iplayer do tend to crash a fair bit so decided to connect my media centre PC to the TV rather than using the internet connection.
-
-
does this run on 12 volt as I have a caravan
-
I'ts a normal TV for a house and has a max 130watts power consumption.
-
-
are panasonic tvs the best make?
-
I don't know what the best make is but this is a very nice TV.
-
-
I intend using this TV as a second TV in a bedroom. I do not have an aerial socket in the room however, is this essential can the TV receive a good picture if i buy an indoor aerial.
-
Mine is connected to a satalite dish and that was the main reason for choosing this model as not many TV's have a freesat tuner built in. If you are uisng an indoor arial, I would imagine your picture would be the same as any other TV with an indoor arial depending on your arial and location.

-
Tuned in Freesat, works ok. Retuned to get 4HD and now there is no Freesat available. I can get stations on OTHER SAT by manual tuning them in. It does go through the tuning including putting in the post code but at the end all I get is NO CHANNELS FOUND. Many thanks for the help.
-
I would try the factory reset and start again.
-
-
Can I plug my Sky lead straight into the back of the TV instead of going through my CD player?
-
I see no reason to go through a CD player when connecting a lead from a sky set top box and this TV. It may depend on what setup you have and if you are using external speakers. This TV has a built in Freesat HD tuner so you can just plug in the cable from the satellite dish if you just want the Freesat channels. The TV also has optical and analog sound outputs if that helps with your setup.
-
Hello Michelle.
Refer to page 11 of the manual supplied with the TV.
I think - if your CD player is just a player with no recording capability then the answer to your question is yes. If it also records then the Sky lead should be connected via your player.
-
-
is it as fat as a LCD or as slim as a led and how does it work ,is it more like a LED in terms of the way it worked ore is it a LCD with the brightness and contrast of a LED
-
The Panasonic model I have ( TX-L32D28BPA) ia an LCD TV.
The TV is 4cm deep (not including the stand)
Not being technical, or having an LED TV, I can only comment by saying the LCD display may well have the brightness and contrast of an LED device.
However, whether LCD or LED, the set performs very well to our requirements with ample brightness and contrast control.
Suggest you have a look at the TV on display at your nearest Currys, Dixons or PC world - as I did, before buying on line.
I beleive it is one of the most cost effective Freesat/Freeview TV`s on the UK market today. Hope this helps.

-
did get a black back ground frame in this tv???
did i use you tube or skype in this tv???
can i use all net service on this tv??-
I have two of these TV's. One has a silver frame, the other has a purple one.
Provided the TV is hooked up to your Internet you are able to Viera Cast to view YouTube and Skype. For Skype you will need the webcam that Panasonic supply as an optional extra.
You cannot use all net services, only the ones that are available in Viera Cast.
These are being added all the time, so I suggest you go to Panasonic's website to see what is available at present.
-
-
Can you add more channels to Freesat?
-
Yes, hundreds, the set will tune into other saterlites and make a seperate non-Freesat channel. Wether you will want to watch the news from Nigeria ect. is another thing.
-
Not too sure on that to be honest. We just tuned it once to trial it and left it at that as the Freesat isn't used much since the sat input is mainly for a sky digibox.

-
Thinking of purchasing a Panasonic Viera "white framed" 32" TV. Does white frame interfere with viewing.
-
Alex I have a purple framed Panasonic and that doesn't make no difference so I guess the white framed will be the same sorry I can't be of more help.
-
i definately would not be put off at all by the white frame. i know i have the purple frame, but i dont think it will detract from this amazing spec tv,s viewing experience! i was going to get the white model until i found the purple one. think, just over a year ago, they were best part of £1100
-
I had the opportunity to compare the picture quality of a white frame versus a purple frame tv in a showroom and I can honestly say there was no difference.
-
-
One thing that comes up in technical press reviews is a reported weakness of *standard definition* viewing on this model: too blocky/ pixelly, smudgy etc. How true is this in your experience & how does it compare to other LCD/LED TVs you own(ed)?
Is there a difference in standard def quality between Freeview & Freesat?
Also, how good is viewing angle and does the fact that the screen leans back on its stand take some getting used to?
Hope you can answer all these questions! Thanks in advance! :)-
Hi Umar,
In response to your q's:
1 - I honestly couldn't be happier with the picture quality. I haven't had any issues with the picture looking blocky or smudgy
2 - I have Virgin, so don't use the Freeview/Freesat - sorry that I can't help
3 - Viewing angle is fine. I read some reviews that it lent back too much, but I don't have an issue (the lean cant be more the 5 degrees anyway).
What I would say is that the picture is amazing when you play a Blu-ray film, the detail is really good. -
Blue ray films are first class, completely blown away by them. Viewing angle does take some getting used to but it doesn't detract from a superb piccy. You can always wall mount if it gets too bad, but i doubt you will.
You canm only use one or the other free view HD or Freesat. I use freeview. It again is brilliant. Not a great difference between SD and HD. The screen, like all Panasonics are understated. That is, Panansonic dont make a massive song and dance about them....they should, the quality is amazing. Only down
side is the purple surround, my wife doesn't like it. But I do.......I paid for it.

As this tv has freeview & freesat do I need 2 arials or satelite dish? Are there 2 sockets to put aerials in? Asking this as I want to put it in a room without an aerial at present. Thanks.
-
Hi Sharon, there is one connector for FreesatHD satellite (the usual f-type connector), and a normal aerial connector for FreeviewHD.
I have the TV connected to an outdoor satellite dish (a Sky-type dish) and an outdoor aerial for FreeviewHD.
Although I have both connected, you only need one or the other.
Hope that answers you question. -
There is a standard aerial socket and a satellite socket for the freesat. I've only got it connected to the aerial at the moment (we've got Sky), and it works fine as a digital TV. If you've got no aerial but have got a satellite connection, I reckon this will be fine as a TV.
Hope that helps
