Good sound qualirty - Bad points:
- DAB radio doesn't work very well probably because this very good looking product is supplied with a cheap wire ariel that looks tatty!

- WE ACTUALLY RETURNED THE FIRST ONE AS WE THOUGHT IT WAS FAULTY ONLY TO FIND THE SECOND ONE WAS THE SAME THIS PRODUCT REALLY STRUGGLED PICKING UP THE DAB RADIO AND AS THIS WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS FOR PURCHASE IT WAS ALSO RETURNED

- Overall fine but see ipod comment below. DAB radio and CD player good.
- Bad points:
- Purchased for use with ipod but interface does not automatically open ipod. This has to be done manually as does shut down. Panasonic data refers to first or second generation ipods, now 4th generation but I have tried 2nd generation with same result. To date no response from panasonic

The design is great and the fact that the I-phone can be enclosed is a bonus. No dust to collect on or scratches to the I-phone as it is safely inside.
Charging on this is also a bonus and saves additional wires. - Bad points:
- It isn't a bad point as such but I would have preferred it to be all black rather than the silver door.

The SC-HC3 achieves high quality sound from compact speakers. The Bamboo Cone Speaker produces crisp, clear vocals. And the two passive radiators that are positioned at the front and back of the speaker unit cancel out vibrations inside the speaker to suppress unwanted vibrations and deliver robust bass sounds.
The slide-type door allows easy insertion and removal of an iPod™ or CD, even in tight spaces. This special iPod™ dock lets you easily connect an iPod™ directly to the main unit without using any cables. You can then select songs from among your iPod™ favourites with remote operation. You can also set the wake-up timer to work with music from your iPod™.
With only about the same depth (10.25 cm) as a paperback book, the SC-HC3 can be placed on a desktop, bedside stand, or other small space.

That's a tricky one to answer, since I dont know how loud you prefer and I dont own a decibel meter. I think it plays loud enough, certainly if its at full volume, it's very loud in the room you are in, but not perhaps for listening to elsewhere in the house. It surprised me to find that it does not distort the sound when at full volume, and the amount of bass you get for such a small thing is very good.

it's as loud as half a dozen people having a noisy dancing party would make but if there were a very loud twenty five ,then it would not come across very well at all,,, it's not good hi fi ,but i liked it anyway,,, it's not a tinny sound,,,,but if you are expecting lots of bass and zing , then look eleswhere and more money to spend, i paid £150

YES it has DAB pre set channels, however, make sure you have good DAB reception or you wont have any channels at all!
Having said that...It's a good product. -
Yes it does but check your reception. I've found it to be a great unit with excellent sound quality.
