- Good points:
- have only just started playing with it, but image quality is excellent. Used to have a budget Panasonic SDR-26 - you really do get what you pay for. The bigger, triple CMOS pays dividends.
- Bad points:
- battery life does not appear to be the longest with the standard one supplied, but absolutely adequate

- Good points:
- Easy to use, good touch screen, good zoom, time lapse function very useful, pre record also useful. Quick start up when using it and the photo and video quality is very good. Very impressed and just what I need. The 50fps function is also good for slow motion playback.
- Bad points:
- Battery life not amazing, but I expect similar to any other camera. I have purchased extra batteries. Having a little trouble rendering in the quality I need, some clips working fine and others liney but I think that is my mistake, I have been using Sony Vegas 8.

- Good points:
- I bought one of the first Panasonic 3CCD cameras some time ago and it is still going strong, giving excellent results. This one is, however, so much better - smaller, lighter and intelligent. Being able to identify a face and keep it properly exposed and focused automatically is brilliant. No more back light swamping the scene.
- Bad points:
- Editing software is clumsy to use and pretty slow.

Quality of video at 1080/50p is excellent and works well in intelligent auto mode.
Plenty of options to change mods and settings. - Bad points:
-
Capacity of supplied battery not great but i guess that's normal for most camcorders.
HDMI mini cable not supplied as standard.
Digital zoom especially at x700
