Manufacturer's Description
DVD Recorder with Digital Tuner and VHS VCR
By interpolating video data using proprietary algorithms, SD format data is up-converted to 1080 × 1920p HD format video data. This conversion to HD format increases the richness of the original data by approximately six fold, and produces the highest possible image quality when viewing content on a large-screen HDTV.
The DVB-T Adaptive Noise Reduction detects and removes the block noise that is unique to digital broadcasts. It helps deliver beautiful, noise-free pictures.
The DMR-EZ48V is Deep Colour ready, which means they can reproduce images with 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation. You enjoy exceptionally rich, natural-looking colours, with smooth, detailed gradation and minimal colour banding. *The TV must also be Deep Colour compatible. Other TVs will display 8-bit, 256-step gradation.
If you want to record the program you’re watching, you can start immediately by pressing the VIERA Link button on the VIERA remote control and selecting “Direct TV Rec.” on the VIERA Link menu screen. You can also start Direct TV Rec. by pressing “Direct TV Rec.” button on VIERA remote. *This function is available for Panasonic products that support VIERA Link (HDAVI Control 3 or above). *Scart video cable and HDMI Cable are required to be connected.
Simply press a button, and One-Touch 2-Way Transfer let you transfer material from a VHS tape to a DVD disc or vice versa. This means you can easily record your entire video library to DVD for a collection that takes up much less space. During tape-to-DVD-RAM transfer, there’s also a handy function that reads recording start (VISS) signals on a tape, and automatically creates a program list on the DVD-RAM disc.
The DMP-EZ48V offers the ease and convenience of Super Multi-Format Recording and Playback, which lets users play all of their DVDs, regardless of the recording format. The DMP-EZ48V models can record and play back DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW*, +R, +R DL, and +RW discs. *Recording is possible only with DVD-Video format.
