    1. Hi Jenifer i have a friend whos deaf she mainly has vibrator on but yes the sound is good the volume goes to 7.but theres the loud speaker option on once they answer call.hope this has been answered ok for you.thankyou for taking the time to do so....

23. Hello, I seem to be having a lot of problems with this phone. On my 2nd handset already! The touchscreen does not work and crashes and it only seems to hold 10 texts messages despite having a 8GB memory card. Is this normal? I am not very good with technology and have gone back to my old N95 until I can get this C3 to work. Argh! Expensive contract for a phone I am not impressed with so far.....Thanks for any advice.

    1. My husband and I both have C3s and have not experienced any of the problems you have indicated. I currently have 47 texts on my phone! I am also not very technical but find this phone very easy to use and understand so cannot really givenyou any advice.

    2. Hi. I don't think messages are written to the memory card by default, they are stored in the phone's memory. Just checked my C3 and I am currently holding 295 in the inbox so I'd better tidy up! As for the screen, it is resistive rather than capacitive as on Iphone et al so it can be a bit slow sometimes.

25. Is the keypad comfortable to use when texting as it looks like the little metal strips under the numbers might get in the way?
    Is this an easy phone to use as I'm not very technical and how is it for using the internet, eg for googling stuff?
    And finally, is it worth buying a better memory card for it as it only seems to have a little bit of memory on it? Thank you

    1. I find it comfortable, but I have finger nails and realise I use them rather than the pads. I am not technical, but with the help of the nokia forum i have set it up without my son's help!I have bought a 4 something memory card so I could take more photo's ( that shows how technical i am). Using the internet is ok, but the pages sometimes move around and i have a job to make them stand still. I use it mainly for chatting, texting and emails. I love the phone, I will be gutted if I do have to send it back b ut i will get the same model

    1. Hi John,You can connect to a PC if you have the correct USB lead.I would say that you would need to have your phone plugged in at the mains as this would kill the battery.

31. I had a Nokia C3 for my birthday in Janary, I have had a few problems with it, I have to keep turning it off to get any messages, it has got worse since the merg with T-mobile.

    1. I am also on Orange and pick up Tmobile but have not had any problems with messaging so it would seem that this is a problem with your handset. I would think you could take it back under warranty.

    3. Hi Denise, I agree with Robert - while I have noticed that the general coverage has gone downhill since the Orange/T Mobile merger, not had any issues with messages.
       
       IEnquire with the retailer for your phone, but minimum of a year warranty on Nokia handsets, so you'll be fine!

    1. personal choice.depends what you're looking for in a phone.Not much knowledge on the x3 but if your after a phone to play your music your probably better off with the x3 as the c3 doesnt hold alot of songs.

35. Hi I am changing my phone from my old Nokia to a C3 on Saturday. I have never used touch screen so hope i get on with it ok. What is signal like. My old phone has a brilliant signal nearly everywhere and I hope this will be the same. Also is it easy to pick up Wi Fi as I have heard some of these phones are unpredictable when it comes to the internet. Thanks

       The phone is great for texting and phoning, especially with the touch screen. The camera is really good with a good flash too, no complaints! The only thing with the video footage is that you can only get about 10 seconds worth of footage at a time.
       
       As for going on facebook... I down scaled from an HTC wildfire touch screen mobile to this Nokia and the internet is no where near as easy to use. You will be able to get on Facebook and do everything you'd normally do but it will take longer and be more tricky.

    1. I have successfully paired mine to my Qashqai and it automatically connects whenever and wherever I drive. Maybe the problem is with Ford - maybe the car needs to be updated??
       I'm not an expert but if there is no problem pairing it with one car, why should there be with a different car unless it is the car?

    1. there is a key on the side which is the lock, if its not that then i cant help, we dont have any problems with ours except the touch screen may have a protective coat whihc might be stopping you from getting it to register your touch, hope this helps

    1. When you hold your finger on the main screen it comes up with 'personalise view' -you then add 'favourite cont.' Once you've done that your main screen will have 4 spaces that you can add your contacts by holding your finger on each space. Hope it works for you!

    1. Yes, it appears you can, but I haven't done it myself. Ring tones & message alerts can be assigned from the "Media Library" which can be any tone downloaded via cable, OVi suite, or off the web. Hope this helps?

54. I'm having problems selecting names on the touch screen in messages. It always seems to select a name randomly whilst scrolling through.
    Anyone else had this prob. I usually give up and dont bother sending the text, Bit ignorant really. But can anyone help in best way of selecting a name for texts.

    2. Same as Robert- Scroll down the right hand side where the people shaped icon is. You can press quite firmly with that and it doesn't select until you press on the name. I had this problem and sent messages to the wrong people lol. Hope this helps. Kay

    1. You don't specify make and model of old phone. However there should be an option within the address book options to copy contacts to your SIM card. If you complete that and then place the SIM in your new phone, all should be done. Alternatively you may use Bluetooth to copy between the handesets. Hope that helps.

    1. Hello Eileen, I had a little difficulty finding out how to do this, but I have managed to do it.
       
       What you need to do is go to settings in the main menu, select profiles and select the profile you use the most, and go to personalize click on ringtone and open media album in that menu, click options and seach. In that menu your music folder should appear.

61. I cannot connect my C3-01 to my pc. I have tried numerous USB cables. not sure if it is right one. Ive got a CA101 and an Orange universal USB. none of them allow my device to be recognised?
    
    Any ideas. Ive also tried all the Nokia FAQ's and advice. Though I can still connect my 6500s and 6700C to my PC, so my USB is ok.
    
    Is my mobile faulty or do I need a special USB cable or WHAT!

I dont know if calls can be barred, I havent learned abou that yet. and yes you can use the keys as if you were on a normal computer but again there is still a lot I havent learned about yet and its easy to gain access to the internet on it. 64. I have the new C3. Each time I leave it for a few minutes and go back to make a call it is "locked" and I need to pass my finger along the bottom strip to open up. Have tried the unlock switch on the side but that doesn't make any difference. Is there a way round this?-

    1. The phone holds about 8 or 9 photos without a separate memory card. I have bought a 4GB micro-xd memory card (about £5) for mine and it will now hold several hundred photos.
       
       On my laptop I use "Nokia Suite" to synchronise my phone with my laptop. This can easiliy be used to transfer the photos to your laptop (even over bluetooth).

    1. what kind of copying do you want to do as the only thing that i can think about is you open the message that you want to read and copy then clip on option and click on archive msg then it will to the archive folder and you do the same way if you want to delete certain msgs or if you just want to delete single msgs open msg then option then delete or if you want to delete a group of msgs archive them then delete msgs from archive folder using the delete prgm and select archive folder. i hope this will help as i did find that you cant mark certain things unlike the rest of the phone that you can mark 1 or all apps pics and mp3's

    1. I had a similar problem.
       Download the Nokia Ovi program, and from there you should be able to reload the software on phone to it,s factory settings.
       I couldn,t get the video recorder to work, and it cured the problem.

    3. No, the htc has many more features. The c3 is more of a touch and press screen. It responds well enough but does not do things like magnify a picture by moving your thumb and forefinger in an opening movement.
       But for using the internet and typing messages without having to look at the screen it is fab.
