1. Did you get yours from Tesco Direct, and if so, did it come with battery? Silly question, but the info seems to suggest that you have to get the battery seperately anmd if you do, where do you geet it from?

6. Does this phone have the facility for you to get repeat text notifications? For me this is one of the most important features to have as, unless you are in a quiet location and your phone is on your body - in a pocket for example, rather than in a bag - it is easy to miss messages. I had a Samsung once which would go on dinging for ever until I actually read the text. This was so useful. I also need a loud ringing tone and a display that you can actually read in sulight. Does this phone provide this? Would be so grateful if anybody can answer any or all of these questions for me.

    1. yes you need to purchase seperate usb cable. it is a standard size adaptor. my kindle came with the right cable. you should be able to find a cheap cable

16. Hi, I'm after an affordable Orange Nokia phone which has a calendar that stores birthdays and anniversaries year after year. I bought a Nokia 1616 which I assumed would be capable because my previous cheapo equivalent phone did (it died, unfortunately) but the 1616 didn't and this is the next one up, pricewise. Staff in the Orange shop were unable to advise, they seemed unaware of specific features of the phones in their shop. Can you help, please?

    1. I am not sure, but I would say not as most companies will only allow their own sim cards, you will probably be able to get it unlocked.

    1. hi i wear reading glasses 2 and i can see them just fine without my glasses on. Usualy i have to change the settings to make the text bigger but i didnt with this phone. Hope this helps.

    2. Hi Eleanor. I have much the same problem and the phone is very good for that. I haven't gone into the settings very much, but the time is very large and easily readable. The date below is small.
       For reading texts the view is much as on other phones, but for writing texts, the text is much bigger and easier to view.
       I do find the phone easier in these respects than my previous Nokia. I hope this helps. With best wishes.

       On the front screen the time is shown large, the size of the date and text to me is adequate without my glasses but your glasses may be stronger.

26. I have a 6300 at the mo! Is the earbud socket better ??on 6301 as I only use phone for txt'n & listening to radio using stereo earbuds when walking, OR calling if 'emergency' should crop up! also I sometimes have probs with radio reception( Smooth Radio) even when main-set gives perfect reception in North Wales coastal region . Phone eng. on local Mkt says stereo reception is a common prob with 6300 and requires soldering, about £12.All info gratefully appreciated, thanks Brian

    1. Hi Lorraine The phone is locked to Tesco network you may be able to get unlocked by Tesco's or try one of the sites that unlocks phone. or try some local phone shops who unlock phones

       This is not something I know about. You will need to know if the phone works on suitable frequencies for use in South East Asia and whether there is an arrangement between your network provider and a provider in Asia. I would think that the best people to ask would be you network provider. Sorry not to be more helpful - hope the trip goes well.

    1. Go to Settings, then select Call. Select Call Divert and then the option If Not Answered. Click on Activate. You then have options, To Voice Mailbox and To Other Number. Choose either one, as you wish. This then gives you the chance to select the Delay Time (up to 30 seconds), which will increase the time before the call is diverted.

    1. I don't think so. It just displays the text the person has sent to you but does not show your original message as do emails. However it does have internet and you can access your emails but I do not use it for sending emails so I cannot say how good it is.

    2. Hi Clare, no it doesn't, as far as texts are concerned. You can only open and read a single message. There isn't any connected hisdtory with it. Text inbox lists by arrival time and date and you can only open, each message, individualy.

    1. Yes, you should be able to. The C1-01 uses a standard sim card and should take whatever card you have without a problem. In the very unlikely event that there was a problem then Vodafone should replace your sim card. I have a Vodafone monthly contract and find them very helpful. Hope than helps!

48. I have just brought a new car a Ford C-Max, my present phone is an Orange Lisbon which is not quite compatable with the blue tooth in the car although the Lisbon does have Blue tooth.

    1. My C1-01 has proven to be compatible with blue tooth in my car although the volume is not as good as my previous phone. The instructions to set up the blue tooth In the manual are surprisingly easy to follow!

52. Hi. Does the keypad lock with two separate buttons? This may sound like a silly question but my current phone is a Samsung SGH-M150 which only takes one key press (*) to lock. The trouble is it unlocks itself in my pocket and rings people up using up all my credit.

       Yes you can, but this is not really a phone which is designed for internet use. The screen is not really big enough, but it can be done.
       If you want to use internet a lot, I suggest you find a phone which is designed with that in mind.

62. How many email addresses does it store, please? This is a really important specification for me but the Orange Shop and Nokia don't know! And the instruction booklet doesn't say. My old basic Nokia took 20 email address, current one only 5, someone said they thought the C101 only takes 2.
