- Good points:
- Easy to use, very quiet, customisable programs and a program that washes very well in 20 mins.
- Bad points:
- Outlay expensive and some of the cycle times are quite long. The 1400 spin is good but not as good as I thought it might be.

- It appears to be well built and to date has washed our loads. We purchased Meile due to its suppossed reliability which is supported by a 10 year guarantee and hence only time will tell if it met our needs.

- What can I say, it's a miele. Build quality looks to be excellent and it is very quiet in operation. Overall very pleased with all aspects of this machine. Bought to replace dyson machine that I was equally as impressed with. At time of purchase got 10 year parts and labour guarantee. Fantastic all round.

- None yet, but with guarantee and high quality can't see any down side to buying this machine.

Can i wash a duvet in the w5740-
It depends on the size of it. I have a kingsize quilted bed spread which I manage to fit in. It is a case of managing to fit it in. The only duvet I have tried is a feather one which you can squash down to almost nothing. Anything with some bulk behind it and you would have some difficulty.

I personally have not washed a duvet in the machine but cannot see a problem - if you cannot shut the door then it is too large. Just give it a try - use the quick wash with extra water and see if it is clean.. You could give it two quick washes to see if that comes out clean. Hope that helps.

Assuming your duvet is machine washable, yes. We wash our double in there, it's a 6 tog goose down so it's quite thin.

I have just bought one of these; it doesn't seem to spin at 1400 as well as my previous Bosch did. I am surprised to see that the spin cycle is 8 minutes irrespective of chosen spin speed so at 1400 it doesn't run for long at maximum speed, it takes quite a long time to get to 1400 and doesn't spin at that speed for long. Is my machine faulty? Is every one else's the same as mine? I would have expected the spin cycle duration to be proportional to the selected spin speed.

Mine is the same, and I can't say I found it a problem. The plus of this machine is that it has variable temperature so I can wash on 50 degrees which was the most important feature to me.
There is no such thing as a perfect machine, but for the money, I'm sorry you are disappointed.
