- Good points:
- You know exactly where it is while It's self charging, Very easy to use after loading harmony icons. Works any thing & every thing I want it to a great piece of kit! Ps Love the night light.
- Bad points:
- I only had 2 problems 1 trying to load the icons to the stations it asks you to name the station you want to associate with the icon & I was typing in ITV trying to associate it with the icon that was Wrong! it should have asked for the station numbers which associate it to that channel, And 2 a problem trying to switch them all on @ the same time if there not all in the same place ?

- Good points:
- Easy to use, good intuitive software, excellant customer care. Additional kit for PS3 worked first time.
- Bad points:
- Not bad really but certain functions on the TV or amp are not controlled by the Harmony although this might be down to me not configuring them properly.

- Good points:
- This not only replaces so many remotes (TV, SkyHD, VCR/DVD, Surround Amp, HDMI switch, AppleTV) it pulls together their commands into activities which after a little tweaking work brilliantly,
- Bad points:
- It takes a little time dedicated to understanding the software but no big problem.

- Good points:
- Looks nice
- Bad points:
-
not compatible with Beamax projection screens, contacted Logitech support who suggested using toilet rolls to help it learn the commands (very high tech!), it still refused to learn the commands and then Logitech refused to reply to my emails?!?!
Also the 'activities' are too simple switching from watching sky on Projector to watching film on projector caused the remote to power down the projector, which is a long process.
Hugely disapointed with this device

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Logitech Harmony One
-
how does this connect to all your different devices?
-
I have : -
Hitachi 42" plasma TV - (quite old now)
Sony Surround Sound Amplifier (also old)
Arcam Solo Mini Audio System
SKY HD+
Sony Bluray
HDMI switch
Home Automation IR remote light switch
All devices have been programmed into my Harmony and apart from the light switch and the HDMI switch all had profiles on the Logitech website.
It took a little tweaking but now I have all configured with "Activities" i.e. when I want to watch TV it turns on/off all relevant components for that activity.
I found it quite simple to set up even if there are not profiles for the devices you can input direct from your existing remote control.

how do you download software
-
You create a login with Logitech. Plug the remote into the PC and then you select what you want it to control. It then downloads to the handset. Should be simple.
Hope this helps
-
Just follow Steve's answer, it works and it's easy!! Good luck and enjoy!

I need this to control:
in the bedroom, TV, Surround Sound and Blu ray player
In the living from TV, Surround sound and Sky.
So it is possible to program it to control 2 different TVs and 2 different SS?
Is there a work around for the lack of coloured buttons? I use the green button when using sky a lot.
-
It should be possible. We currently control a TV, Sky, AV and an Xbox in the front room. We can also add the PS3 to it, so I cant see why you cant add further TV's etc.
The colour buttons are added as buttons on the touch screen - the touch screen can have several pages - one of out devices has 10 pages of buttons on the touch screen, which is about 60 different functions!
All in all, I wouldnt be without the Harmony 1 -
Yes it can be done you just add all the devices you want to control and then add them to activities.
If your struggling or need more information try Av forums, there's enough Harmony owners that can help
