- Good webcam, wireless connection is reliable.

Needs some knowledge to set up so as to be able to look at one's home from a remote location eg familiarity with dynamic DNS.
You can ask the device to send a picture by email if it detects movement; this facility is not very useful as the device is oversensitive, even when turned down. Consequently it can send a lot of emails.
