LG F1443KD reviews: Freestanding 11kg capacity washing machine

1. will this machine wash duvets and pillows - I ve used similar sized machines and the quality of the wash i s not good - even though the manufacturers recommendations tell me different!!!!!!!

   1. It will wash pillows and duvets but only single size not double.
      The wash quality was better than that achieved in an ordinary machine.

2. I am looking for a industrial washing machine, i work in a hostel, and there is ten residents, who do there washing. Is this machine any good, or is it too small.

   1. I wouldn't call it industrial...you really need a top loader for that...one of the american brands.
      But this machine is wonderful....best washing machine I have ever had.

   1. YES!
      The Washing machine automatically senses how much wash is in the drum and adjust the amount of water needed for that load.

4. Our machine stops during the spin cycle on a regular basis, with 'rebalance load' message. This seems to happen no matter how much or little is in the drum. This happens so often my wife has come to hate the machine! Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

   1. Actually I have experienced the same problem but I usually find that if I go into options and choose the spin cycle it usually works, but a further 30mins or so is then added to the wash time. Sometimes I reposition the washing and this also helps. Funnily enough I was contemplating writing to WHICH as they highly recommended this machine, but with continued use a number of faults are being highlighted. A friend also mentioned the said same problem being discussed at the weekend. Perhaps LG should be written to about this matter!

5. My question is for those reviewers who have had their machine for over a year and at the time of writing found no faults at all; do you still have no faults - if you do, what are they??

6. Hi Joe, I don't have a problem I'm just reviewing various makes and models as I need to replace my 20 year old Asko machine. I will probably buy an LG as I like the drum capacity. The 1443KD looks and sounds good but I'm a little put off by the various faults mentioned in reviews so just wondered if the users who have had a machine for around a year have encountered any other other problems (unbalanced spin load and the problem with the child lock seems to be a common fault) - is there anything else I should be aware of?

   1. Hi there - we have th same machine as we needed a work-horse as our daughter is disabled and we have alot of washing. One year later it is still a joy, no problems, sparkling clean washing and so many options to choose from.
      Would not hesitate to recommend.

   1. Just over an hour but the quick wash is good but the Eco wash is over two hour hope that helps ..!! I love mine :)

8. would you buy it again?i am replacing a Bosch which i love but it has to be replaced and am attracted by the large drum capacity

   1. Hi Angie,
      Before I purchased the LG I was a firm Bosch girl myself, it was the only machine that could handle the demands of a busy family! I bought the LG because of the drum size and I had a family member that already had this particular machine and kept telling me I should have one! I would definitely buy one again, it has reduced the amount of loads I do by half! I also love the silent button ! Good luck with your new purchase !

   2. I personally like the size of the drum plus everything else about it,it is 1 year since I bought it so far no problem. Yes I would buy it again if it continues to
