Excelent Blu-Ray player with WiFi connected ethernet.
The BBC iPlayer is a really useful feature if your TV does not have this connectivity. - Bad points:
- It would be good to see more internet TV options. Whilst BBC iPlayer is great, LG could have at least added the main UK channels and Love Film

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the LG BD570
-
Does this blu ray player link up with LG netcast?
-
yes it does
-
-
do i need a hdmi socket in my tv for this player? or can i just use a scart?
-
Hi Stuart, there is NO scart available. You will need to use HDMI. Argos normally sell HDMI cables at a reasonable price. Hope this helps.
-
The LG BD570 also includes coaxial and optical digital audio outputs, as well as a set of component video outputs, and composite audio and video ports.
so you do not need an HDMI on your tv
-
-
can i watch downloaded movies on my laptop and how do you watch on dvd
-
This divice will not play VOB (DVD files). You will need to convert the file into a mp4 or m4v file. I use a program called HandBrake which i free.
Then i guess you will need to allow the BluPlayer access to your laptop and simply browse to the file...
-
-
can you connect your home cinema system to this dvd player?
-
Yes, the unit has HDMI, optical and coax digital output and 2 channel analog output.
It supports output of PCM Stereo, PCM Multi-Ch, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus Dolby True HD, DTS and/or DTS-HD.
HDMI Out allows for 2ch, 5.1 or 7.1.
-
yes there is facility to connect home cinema through hdmi or phono jacks
-
-
Will this device play normal dvd's too? And can i pick my own 5 blu-ray dvd's or does it have to be the one's showen on the display picture?
-
hiya,, No you dont get to choose dvd's the offer comes as a package, yes it plays normal dvds with super quality, we are more than happy....hope this helps

I have an LG laptop which has wifi and blue tooth connectivity options. I want to be able to have the laptop image on my old plasma tv via the blue ray player. Can this blue ray player do this without any connectivity problems.
I have no cable option for the old plasma as laptop does not have SVideo and TV does not support serial cable which laptop has.
Thx.
-
hi
i'm sorry, but i have not used the wifi option on the player as i have a fully hard wired system. going through the specifications it should be possible as it has wifi built in.
you could try taking your laptop to a store which has one on display and get the assistant to try and connect the LG and your laptop via wifi. this should not be too dificult for them.
the player has excellent picture quality. BBC iplayer is OK but not the same content as PC based web-browsing.
updating firmware can take a while (you will have to do this when first out the box) depending on your internet connection.

I am very sorry, I am afraid, as I didn't tried that.
My tv is Sony and any blu-ray I've tried to play, plays perfect. Also this blue ray plays almost everything from your attached HD you tube videos without any trouble.
If you really interested to see your picture via wireless on your plasma tv when you going to use your laptop, there is a different.
way, I think suit you. You see my Sony hasn't got wireless connection, to see what I got on my Samsung laptop, so I use VGA cable connection. By the way you can find about wireless connections here. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-wireless-display.html
http://gigaom.com/video/imation-link-netgear-push2tv-veebeam-compared/
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Q-Waves-Wireless-USB-HDMI-Extender/dp/B002RL9F38 of course this not cheep staff, but anyway I think about one in the nearest future.
Another option you can contact to Lg and ask about it. Friend, I do not want you get disappointed and sustain my answer ''no it isn't possible''. Good look to find best to suit you.
