Easy to set up.
Great sound quality.
USB port allowing for playback of video, photo's and music from memory stick.
Glass front, gives it a classy appearance and looks bigger than actual size.
Plenty of tweaks on the picture settings to get a quality image (not the stock settings)
screen can be rotated on the supplied stand.
- Bad points:
-
Glass front can be a bit reflective in a bright room.
remote looks cheap - but fit's the purpose with plenty of buttons with a solid design.

Excellent PQ for the money. Nearly as good as my own Panasonic (I bought this telly for my mum for Christmas).
SD PQ is great, and my mum has no intention of going HD, so the lack of "true" HD is no problem. Plus, you know, unless you have the eyes of an eagle, "true HD" doesn't make a bit of difference on a 42" from 12 feet away.
Design is lovely.
Sound is not bad at all, considering. Better than my Panny (not that I use the onboard spkrs with that). But if you don't want 5.1, this is perfectly fine. - Bad points:

It went completely Pete Tong in April. Needed a new mainboard. That said, the service peeps were very nice. We had to wait a bit (two weeks) for a new one. No probs since then.
I wish this website had a few more categories. "Reliability" would be good!!!

- Good points:
- Easy to operate.
- Bad points:
- A bit disappointing when watching some programs that are minimized by not seeing the full screen, however that could be to do with the way these programs have been originally made.

TV Buyers GuideManufacturer's Description
42" HD Ready Plasma TV
With a single-layer design, this HD-Ready plasma TV has everything you need for a truly amazing viewing experience. Better yet, the PQ6000 series features an array of connectivity options, including 3x HDMI™, and a USB port to connect to all your digital media.
600Hz
LG 600Hz Sub-Field Driving Plasma technology provides zero motion blur and the ultimate razor sharp response time perfect for watching high speed viewing such as sports and movies.
HDMI 1.3 Deep Color / 3xHDMI
HDMI 1.3 supports 30-bit, 36-bit, and 48-bit colour depth. HDMI 1.3 eliminates on-screen colour banding for smooth tonal transitions and subtle gradations. It also enables increased contrast ratio, and represents many times more shades of grey between black and white.
HD-Ready
High-definition television, or HDTV, is a new standard of TV with better-quality picture and sound than normal TV , the sort of standard you would see at a cinema. HDTV brings you closer to the action, offering more colours and a higher resolution picture (twice as many horizontal lines). This can make HDTV images clearer, sharper, more detailed and very life-like.
Intelligent Sensor 2
LG’s upgraded Intelligent Sensor automatically adjusts picture quality based on viewing environment, to optimise picture and reduce your energy bill.
