- Good points:
- I bought the Leisure EB10FRX when I got my new kitchen fitted about a month ago, I had been using a horrible electric hot plate affair for years and hated it and was determined that my new cooker would have a gas hob at least so was deliberately on the look out for a dual fuel cooker. I trawled the internet for what seemed like weeks before settline on this particular model. I liked the look of it and the fact that it has a glass lid was another added bonus. It seemed huge when it arrived but fitted into my new kitchen perfectly. I love it, I love the stylish design, it's easy to use and clean, I don't have to worry about not having enough rings or oven space as there's plenty and I like that it also has a hot plate to keep things warm. The glass lid is a great feature, not only does it ensure the cooker is safe when in the down position, is easy to keep the hob clean, adds an extra work surface to your kitchen but also adds as a splashback when it's up, I just wished more cookers had this feature and it's what ultimately made me decide on this particular model, that and the very good price I got it for from the retailer. I would definitely recommend this product.
- Bad points:
- Although the glass lid provides an extra working surface, just be careful not to put anything on it that may scratch like I did within the first few days of it being fitted :-( . Also the safety valve which releases the gas when the lid is in the up position is made of plastic and broke within a few days, it meant the gas wouldn't released to the rings, I managed to use the old nob by keep putting it back in position. I contacted Leisure and they replaced it without any fuss by return of post and was easy to put back. I think if you lift the lid too quickly it pushes it out of position a bit of a design flaw. It's just something I will keep an eye on to stop happening again.
