- Good points:
- I TAKES A LITTLE TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE BEST WAY OF LOADING IT. I FOUND THE BEST WAY IS TO HAVE THE KNIFE AND FORK HOLDER ACROSS THE FRONT TWO STACKING THINGS ON THE BOTTOM SHELF ON THE RIGHT, THAT WAY YOU CAN STILL HAVE LOTS OF PLATES AT THE BACK.
- Bad points:
- NONE SO FAR!

- Good points:
- Looks reasonable and is reasonably quiet. It was easy to fit into the space under the worktop left by the old machine. So far it stll works.
- Bad points:
-
The manual was written by at least three authors who used different names for the same control knobs - very unhelpful. It is not clear how to set the rinse-aid control to 'minimum'.
When you set off the machine it memorises your choice of cycle but if it is the wrong choice you cannot change or stop it by any method - a "kill that instruction" button is needed.
The upper rack has a set of bent wires which appears intended to hold small dishes vertically but does not so you cannot stack them closely. The lower rack has vertical wires which fold horizontally to provide a flatter base but they cannot be locked vertically so fold flat when you do not want them to. The thicker side walls mean the inner width is 2cm less than my old machine so my glass worktop savers only just fit in - other users beware.
The height of the machine is significantly less (2cm) than quoted so potential DIY fitters may be unnecessarily put off.

- Good points:
- Great machine, I tend to use the same cycle all of the time and this takes about an hour. The delay start button is great as it means that I can put it on overnight when it is cheaper and the pots are gleaming and dry first thing in the morning! The movable cuttlery tray is a great idea and gives you more options for stacking pans and larger items.
- Bad points:
- I can't find a bad point, so far so good. If it lasts for 10yrs like my old Hotpoint Aquarius, I'll be very happy!!

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Hotpoint FDL570P
-
do pots come clean first go when welded on
-
We have found the cleaning power very good, we do rinse out slot of things but in particular pans with spaghetti stuck to the bottom and jugs with scrambled egg have cone out spotless. Hope that helps
-
We have not really put the machine to the ultimate test as a good soaking and cursery clean beforehand has always worked well. The same applies to heavily soiled cutlery and utensiles. Have used both powder and tablets and not nitced any particular difference in the end results. Certainly have no regrets in having chosen this model, for the time delay enables us to further economise using "economy seven" overnight and everything is clean by morning.
-
-
Does the working top protrude beyond the body of the machine? As we have 600mm gap. Should this fit?
-
Not quite sure what you are asking but we certainly have a very tight area where the dishwasher is and it fits beautifully with just the right amount of distance under the worktop. The machine does stand slighty out in fron of the line of base units but thats because i am reluctant to push it right flat against the wall due to past plumbing problems!
-
-
how much water does the machine use?
-
Hi so sorry cant help you, wouid not know how to find out.
-
SORRY DONT KNOW BUT MY WATER BILL HAS REDUCED FROM £50 TO £20 PER MONTH SINCE I GOT IT SO IM ASSUMING IT IS VERY ECONOMICAL.
-
I have no way of measuring the consumption myself, but the energy rating card says it uses 16 litres for a normal cycle. There are other cycles which may use more/less water.
-
-
Can you conect this dish washer to a cold water supply only
-
yes only cold water supply
-
Yes. It draws cold water and automatically heats the water to the required temperature according to the programme you have selected. I hope this helps.

Is it integrated to fit in our kitchen unit?Francis
-
Francis hi
ours fits under a work unit but I wouldn't say it's actually an integrated unit therefore I can't really answer your question.... it just kind of fits under a wooden shelf -
Hi
Ours is not integrated - it fits under our worktop
-
-
Hi,
Can someone tell me please, what is the overall running time when machine
is on the normal setting.
Thanks.-
Hmm, I would say about 90 mins, have never actually timed it, and it is so quiet, you forget its on!!!!!!
-
-
hi,had various dishwashers over the years always been excellent, however i am now having a problem finding a machine were the racks in the bottom lower to fit in a large pan, all i can find are the beko models and never having the range before am a little dubious as to its good brand!!
-
Rear racks in my Hotpoint fold flat to allow pans leaving the front racks for large-medium plates.
