    1. Have you tried Ebay?
      Geoff replied on

  2. does anyone use this with an i phone 4? does it work?

    laura asked on
    1. We have only used an Ipod nano with it which worked well. Can't help with the i phone 4 question - sorry
      Geoff replied on

    2. No - I've got an iPhone 4 and it isn't compatible! Sorry!
      Gareth replied on

  3. It says that this is battery and mains powered but theres no mention of it being battery powered on any other websites. Is it just mains?
    Carlie asked on
    1. Mine is just mains powered. It needs to be as it charges the ipod when its attached and you are using the radio!
      Geoff replied on

    2. As far as mine is concerned it is just mains powered. The first models of this had no back-up, so meant if you unplugged the device it would lose it's stored radio stations etc - however the devices being sold now have this problem fixed!
      Gareth replied on

    3. just mains
      A verified owner replied on

  4. What models of the ipods does this work with? I have a ipod nano 5th generation.
    Dorothy asked on
    1. It will work with that!
      Gareth replied on

  5. Will it work with the 1st generation ipod shuffle?
    dorothy asked on
    1. Yes, but I think you'll need to use the AUX feature.
      Gareth replied on

  6. Does this come with an adaptor for the Ipod Classic ?
    Ray asked on
    1. Yes. It comes with 3 adapters and I have been using it with my Ipod classic. It really is very good value.
      Mary replied on

  7. can these speakers be used with an iphone 3GS?
    laura asked on
    1. Sorry, am not sure. It comes with 3 different docking adapters but I have an Ipod Classic .
      Mary replied on

  8. Does the speaker system include the AM radio frequency or is it just FM?
    Stevie asked on
    1. It only has a FM tuner. Ignore any claims of an Am frequency.
      Paul replied on

  9. Hi
Just wanted to ask does it work with the 1st gen ipod nano?
    Andy asked on
    1. hi sorry i don't know we are using it with an ipod touch but you do get adaptors with it,you could try ringing gear 4 customer service.
      JULIE replied on

    2. Sorry, but I don't have a 1st gen Ipod Nano so cannot say for sure.
      Paul replied on

    3. I think so - we've got a 2nd generation, and it works fine with that. Even works with the Iphone4 & 4s!
      Gareth replied on

  10. Does it have a clock and alarm function - we will be using it with a nano, so no I phone apps.
    simon asked on
    1. Not that I have discovered!
      Geoff replied on

    2. No, I'm afraid not. They are just speakers but they are very good and I am really pleased with them.
You can charge your nano when docked.
      Mary replied on

  11. Hi does anybody know if this will work with Iphone 3gs thanks
    Martin asked on
    1. I don't have a 3gs but can see no reason why it wouldn't as it is certified for Iphone.

      Paul replied on

    2. Yes it does! Also works with the iPhone 4 too.
      Gareth replied on

  12. hi is this wall mountable as well Thanks again
    Martin asked on
    1. No, I'm afraid not.
      Mary replied on

  13. I am unable to tune the fm radio channels in. I have followed all the instructions to the letter and am just getting a fuzzy interference noise. I have the wire aerial fully extended. Any ideas would be appreciated, the ipod is really great so don't want to return it until I have ruled out the possibility of a fault either human or mechanical.
    Jayne asked on
    1. no problem with tuning mine, perhaps its the position you have it in. try moving it to a different room, if no joy then bring it back.
      hope this is some help
      MARK replied on

  14. Hi, i understand this comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, the same size as a headphone jack. Will these speakers work with my galaxy ace smartphone whicg has a 3.5mm input? (where you would put in headphones/earphones). Thanks.
    Adam asked on
    1. There is a 3.5mm aux input socket at the back of the unit under the plastic cover near the mains input. You will need a double 3.5mm jack line to connect your phone to the unit.
