Good points:: Take good clear shots, compact easy to carry. Auto modes great for point and shoot and pixels are ideal for most printing.
10X zoom suits most occasions and have found it good for building photography so far. Also good for family photos with face detection.
Bad points:: Menus on camera are a bit fiddly. Wish cameras such as this had view finder. Battery life seems a bit low.

SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
