- Good points:
- Fantastic Fridge Freezer with a large Fridge, which really suits our family. I am impressed with the build quality. Every thing feels like it is built to last. We looked at a lot of different types of American style Fridge Freezers and this was by far the best one we saw. On so many of the others the fridge door was taken up with a large water chiller. This one has lots of user friendly storage compartments and it is not too tall, which enables the top shelves to be easily accessed. They are expensive but we think it is a quality item and worth the money

- Good points:
- Solid, excellent build quality, well thought out space in fridge and freezer. Slicing out drawers in freezer compartment. Large bottle rack, double doors gives full access to massive fridge area without having to bend down. Easy to use digital controls. Easy to fit a replacement water filter. Beautiful.
- Bad points:
- None whatsoever. We have had our F&P since Nov 2011.

- Good points:
- only had it 3 weeks so energy consumption not known . Really pleased with the design . You seem to get big american fridge style on the top so wide shelves and the 4 drawers keep everything tidy with and good size freezer below .The ice maker only makes 8 cubes over 3 hours but leave it on and the container soon fills up, chilled water is great . Really happy with product so far

- Good points:
- Fantastic solid design with no wasted space. Most fridge/freezers waste space with the ice maker and water dispenser. The Fisher Paykel uses very clever design to minimise the space that these take up. The freezer (which is the coldest part) is at the bottom where it should be. The drawer pulls out so you do not lose the cold air as you do with conventional side by side doors. A well made, high quality appliance.
- Bad points:
- Such good design costs money. I felt the extra cost was justified but this is not a cheap appliance

Yes very much. We did get it when it was on offer at £1800 but the quality and design are far better than cheaper types. Love the gliding draws in both the freezer and fridge.... hadnt heard of Fisher Paykel but am glad we stumbled across them. The only ones that compared for quality as far as we were concerned were rangemaster and the models we looked at didnt have flat bottomed draws in the freezer... hope that helps

Does this fridge freezer actually MAKE ice? I was looking at one in my local Currys and the shop assistant told me it doesn't; you have to manually fill the ice compartment yourself. I don't get that impression from Fisher Paykel's website? I'm not bothered about an ice dispenser; I'm perfectly happy to open the freezer to get out some ice but for the price, I would like ice to be made automatically. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Yes it does make ice, instead of dispensing it from the door it holds it in a tray in the freezer compartment. This gives you a lot more fridge door space!!

As Hayley says, 'yes it makes ice', plus you get the option to have it dispence in the small 'ice drawer' (which is slightly bigger than the ice compartment in a normal freezer ) or take that out and fill the large drawer that the small one sits in which gives you the option of making lots for a party etc.

It was so easy to plumb in that I did it myself.
We had a convenient point from which the washing machine takes water.
The fridge has been superb - access to the fridge is brilliant. I am sure the Samsung is nice but to date I would not trade this unit in for another one.

We had a plumber do it who was fitting the kitchen but he was finished in no time. There is a water filter to be fitted as well, but that didnt pose any problems. I dont think it was difficult to fit at all. It is certainly worth the extra money. Delighted with it. The quality of the fridge draws is excellent, they just glide out. When we looked at some of the others they seemed cheaper in the build. Hope this helps.... Claire

The fridge and filter was really easy to plumb in and we did it ourselves. You just need a cold water pipe nearby. We have had our fridge for nearly 6 months now and I still love it. It feels a quality machine and I definitely think it is worth the extra money. We looked at a lot of different models before we bought it and are really pleased with our decision.

Score 9.0/10My one concern before purchasing was the external water filter as this has to be connected to a wall or cupboard so you do need to ensure you have room and easy access as it needs changing every 6 months. This wasn't really a problem though once we got it and was easy to fit. The fridge is on wheels so it is easily moved if you need to move it..
The freezer compartment is great as a drawer and does hold a fair amount but if it's your only freezer then you need to consider if there's enough space. I bought it more for the fridge capacity.
