Good points:: Very easy to use with fast focus which can be made even faster with "fast focus" control.
Instant "best shot" mode which covers a wide range of situations with a few clicks which results in very satisfying shots.
Good overall features with manual overide.
Bad points:: Quite small control panel but, no big problem.

SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
