Good points:: Very light and small plus also very well built and robust.
Bad points:: Difficult to get used to the different types of picture option and if used on auto unless the camera is completeley still it struglles to pick out which object to focus on plus also sometimes a little slow to focus so if you need to take a picture in a hurry it is likely to be out of focus. That said once yo are used to it th epicture quality is excellent.

SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
