Excellent value and quality! Simple to use and set up. Easy to change the cartridges etc. It looks smart too.

Good points:
Im sure that if my printer had been in proper working order it would have been fine, it was easy to use and set up, reasonabley priced etc
Bad points:
Tthe colours are incredibly faded, I have not had time to go to curries for a refund or replacement yet. Print quality appauling, hugely upset and dissappointed, have tried everything I can think of to fix it. Also the user guide was completely useless.

    1. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and checked the Canon website for compatibility. It is compatible, but you need to download the driver software from the Canon website and NOT from the disk supplied with the printer. Hope this helps, if not, please ask for more info.

    2. Yes, it is connected to my Toshiba laptop and prints fine. Sorry don't know anything about the notebook laptop, but cannot see why it would not connect, especially if it has a usb port.

    1. No it doesn't. My existing printer cable would not work (old version) so I needed to buy a new Hi Speed USB Male to B Male cable, although I purchased this from Amazon, gold plated, delivered, for £3.99 at the end of 2010.

    1. Black and white copies - not sure what you mean. There are two buttons to press [black] or [colour], so yes you can copy something that is colour to black/greyscale only.
      I had problems with the scanner because my USB cable was not new enough (it was very old). Changed to newer USB male to male cable (only £3.99) and then scanning was just fine.

    2. It may have been that I have been running off a lot recently but about 300 sheets of A4 both sides.
      I have just renewed my ink both black and colour
      and we take note again but it does seem that
      it is not going so quick as last time.

  23. Does this printer print right to the edge? My current printer leaves a white border on everything i print. i figured out it was my printer. I was hoping this one prints right to the edge of the paper with NO white border.
