Good points:
Touch screen works well for viewing and deleting photos + options
Video is easy to shoot and good quality
Bad points:
Build quality of the new IXUS range is a bit plasticy compared to the older models like Ixus 50 say.
Slight purpling on images but nothing major
Vids are in quicktime format so have to convert to avi or mpg to use in other apps like Windows DVD maker.

Good points:
Great little camera, great size. Never looked at the manual so got a little annoyed at times trying to work bits out but then that was my own fault as i'm sure the manual would have explained it well. But good thing is, it is not so complicated that you can't work it out on your own. I went for the purple as it was €50 cheaper than the nicer colours but as it turns out, i love the purple! Not sure all men would fancy it much though. Start up to take photo is quick and it is also quick in recharging its flash which is bliss, since my powershot A2000 took forever to recharge the flash which would be the only reason why i wouldn't buy that camera again if it was still available as it was absolutely brilliant. But a quick recharge of flash is essential if you would like your blood pressure to remain within safe limits. The automatic macro got me the most amazing photo of a grasshopper, as someone said "you can even see what he ate for supper", which obviously you can't, but it is that good that you can turn him from an inch long midget into a monstrous giant and see everything in perfect crisp detail.
Bad points:
It is easy to activate the touch screen when you actually don't intend to which can be irritating. When zoomed in on a photo and using the dial to navigate around the screen it is easy to flick to the next photo, again irritating but if you just used the touch screen you wouldn't find this a problem. Both these are very minor 'bad' points. I read somewhere that it's a poor attempt at touchscreen, but i think it's fun and also i still like to have the choice to use the buttons and dials, but then i'm often slow to move with the technological times. Optical zoom slightly less than my previous camera which i thought would disappoint me but actually i don't notice at all, it's great.
