Good points:: Small size, face detection, automatic shooting mode detection ... ... you name it...
Bad points:: The AC connector wiring was for UK 110V wall outlet system. The finnish system supports 240V wall outlet connectors. A small surprise but quickly fixed.

Good points:: Excellent photo quality.
Excellent movie quality, simple to transfer to laptop for archiving onto a hard drive.
A great, intuitive little point and shooter but has advanced settings such as exposure compensation and white balance if required.
Looks cute and sleek, easy to slip into a pocket
Bad points:: Like many of these little cameras, overexposes indoor photos in auto mode. Switch to P instead, use auto ISO and Auto flash and you'll get a great picture.

I was setting this camera up as a gift and would have liked a full, printed manual instead of the very basic printed manual in the box.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs.
